macOS 15 Sequoia on Unsupported Macs Thread

I had the same problem testing Time Machine and Migration Assistant on OCLP 2.4.1 and macOS Sequoia a few months ago. I'd already read the warnings and made manual backups because I knew there was a high probability it would fail.

I'd go with CCC as my first backup choice since I used it for work for years without problems.

Sequoia 15.7.7 released today on my MBA M2, build 24G716 (Developer Beta Channel)
No issues noticed.

Anyone seen a link to a full installer for Sequoia 15.7.6 or 15 .7.7? Need one to make a USB install disk.
Also missing is any info on the latest 15.7.7; is this an RC? Official RTM release? Apple has really stopped issuing such information on anything but Tahoe.
Edit 4-22-2026: Terminal command:
softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 15.7.7
now produces a full installer!

I try to upgrade from Catilina to Sequoia.
Ps.: I don't have anymore the USB with sequoia installer.

According to Discord it's an RC. Full installer for 15.7.6 on gib and OCLP but only as RC1, RTM only by OTA, so far. 🙌🤔

What is “stuck”?

* If I click on mac os installer (first icon on mac1.jpg previous post), the mac show prohibition symbol, as shown in the attached image
* If I click on mac-dati (second icon on mac1.jpg previous post), it show the apple logo with progress bar It moves forward a little, then stops
* If I click on recovery (3rd icon on mac1.jpg previous post) it show me the 4 options menu as mac2.jpg

as in 15.7.7

I downloaded Mist, version 0.3.0, but it doesn't show Sequoia 15.7.7. Yes, I checked the show betas box and hit the refresh button too. Still not showing 15.7.7.
However, it is OK, the "softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 15.7.7" Terminal command worked.

That is one item everyone who works with stuck metal items has in their toolbox. Like screws that won't budge. It comes as a spray can, usually, and works well indeed to get "stuck" items "unstuck". Just deeveedee being deeveedee. I'm sure she was just kidding, or perhaps caught on the vocabu-art.
