2015 MacBook Pro 15" - running OCLP 2.4.0 with macOS 15.7.7 on an external SSD.
Reverted patches from 15.7.7 to 15.7.8 was 695mb completed successfully running well. MacBook Pro 2014. OCLP 2.4.1.

Just curious, since you use an external SSD, as I do for an iMac: do you update OTA or use a USB stick created by OCLP?
I update OTA. It's a large download, but the SSD is pretty fast and everything has been working seamlessly since I started doing it from macOS 15.7.1.

Smooth OTA update from Sequoia 15.7.7 to Sequoia 15.7.8 Beta 1. Applied Nvidia Tesla and Wi-Fi root patches with OCLP 2.5.0n. Only issue I've found is non-working screen capture (works before applying root patches, doesn't work after applying root patches) which is easily remedied with a 3rd-party screen capture tool. I also updated Safari to 26.5 which I'm using to generate this post.
EDIT: After examining OCLP commit history, I see that this isn't the first time that Sequoia updates have caused problems with screen capture and non-metal graphics. Maybe this will be fixed with a future version of OCLP.

cMP 4,1 (-> 5,1) working well with 15.7.8 b1 and patches for Nvidia Kepler and BT/Wifi (I still have to use 2.3.1 instead of 2.4.0 due to issues with external USB cameras not showing any video with the newer patch set).
Still happy to work with this "power machine" as a daily driver for work. (No, deeveedee, pls. don´t 🙂

I may not be searching well but I have not found any mention of DaVinci Resolve here. I tried it yesterday and got total kernel panic on iMac 2013, imac14,3, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia 750M. Does anyone run successfully any of older version of Resolve?

Version 20.0.1 still works on my cPM5,1 (and therefore, also previous versions).
I tested the versions: 20.2.1, 20.2.3, 20.3.2 and 21.0.0 without success, they all crash at startup probably due to AVX/AVX2 instructions.

I want to use VMWare to make and run Linux instances on my 2012 MacPro. that macpro already runs Sequoia. /Sequoia/Open Core Legacy Patcher. I was thinking I can just install vmware on my 2012 macPro and start creatng linux instances.
But now, when I read more closely, what I see is Sequoia can run on a mac under vmare. I don't see any mentiom of running Linux under Sequoia with vmware. I can run linux on sequoia but only with Parallels.
This is what I am reading:
VMware Fusion 13.6 and later versions support running macOS 15 Sequoia as a guest VM on Intel Macs, provided the host Mac supports Sequoia natively. For unsupported Intel Macs (e.g., 2015 MacBook Pro limited to macOS Monterey), you can run a Sequoia VM by using OpenCore Legacy Patcher to create a standalone macOS Sequoia installer, then using VMware Fusion Pro 13.5.2 (the last version compatible with macOS Monterey) to install it via a created .dmg or .iso file. "

Did you run the VMware Fusion of the screenshot above with a MacPro5,1?
Since macOS Big Sur release, VMware Fusion Hypervisor started to require the XSAVE instruction that is not present with the Nehalem/Westmere Xeons and the last VMware Fusion that works with a MacPro5,1 is the 12.1 version back in Catalina.

Yeah.. doh! It launched VMWare but starting the VM bombs w/ the XSAVE not supported message. Man, has it really been before I installed OCLP Sequoia on my 5,1 that I've run a VMWare VM? I guess so, since I mostly use my 2018 Mac mini for VM's. 😳 Sorry for the bad intel.

You deserve credit for doing your best to lead to a promised land. And owning up to the error in your report when it was clarified by perfect question from the Great Dude of DOS is a good move. Thank you for your great contribution. I am sure you provide many solutions without the unfortunate complication this one has. Owning up proves you are awesome and not a dirt bag. Sometimes, that is the best any of us can do.
I am really am grateful, in spite of the slam into a dead end. The hope was a wonderful feeling. My favorite thing about our work: The truth is always there. BS will not fly. I like that. We get to make new things... just not how we want them sometimes.
The reason I came in tonight was to see if there is a way around this road sign in the picture below. Answer is yes, there is a way around, but not for the 2012 MacPro 5,1. Parallels is doing a great job. I just hate the subscription cost. OK, I am cheap and greedy....I have admit that.
Come to think of it, why can't VMWare upgrade their product so it can do what Parallels does. I wonder if this traces to Broadcom bought VMWare to cash out work already done, forget about new innovation. Maybe we need to find a way to build the next version of vmware or something else to do the job without burning us for 100 bucks every year like parallels does.

Relax, it is most likely another RC (Release Candidate) with a small increased build number. The version you have must be RC 1, and that prompt is probably RC 2. Using OCLP you always get full installers. 😁
