Yep. As soon as the server is back online everything should be fine again.

I wouldn't block the server for the time being, because you might forget about it and therefore permanently disable a security feature.
Not sure about "as soon as" since I see the system status page is all green, but continuing to get error.

No love here even though system status page shows resolved.

Monumental time waster today - QC slipping.

Apple saying issue is fixed, but I'm still getting the error...

Save your tears, guys, for another possible thread: "Not working ________. macOS BigSur." (field >_____ for your issue typing).

Still the same Akamai problem:

I left the Mac platform a little over 3 years ago but came back in May to a 16-inch MacBook Pro for editing in lightroom. It has been nothing but a horror show so far. I'm really shocked at how far the Mac experience has fallen. It all feels like a showdown of its former self. Now this fiasco. One thing about Apple I could always count on was rock-solid reliability. Can't say that's one of their strongpoints anymore from a hardware or software perspective. I'm glad I kept my HP laptop around. Yeesh.
Well, TBH, Apple/the Mac in general has always been on up and down slopes. SL had the delete guest accounts glitch in its early inception (up to 10.6.2, I think), Jaguar had issues with external hard drives, and Cheetah was a mess for the first official version of Mac OS X. Also, who can forget Lion and how glitchy it was?

I honestly don't think this is new at all. Apple always had positive and negative issues with their software. It's not black and white. On my 2020 4-ports MBP 13", I've had no issues so far at all, other than minor Catalina-specific quirks.

This will all work out. I promise you, in 2025, people will be saying how Apple in 2020 was so sturdy and how far it's came downhill. You should read old forum posts and threads from 2003, it was pretty much the same thing back then. People were practically screaming about bugs with 10.4.0 and how horrible Apple was. We just look at the past with rose-colored glasses.

Could
Apple does host its own servers in its own datacenters!

They do indeed!

Could be an Akamai too issue I guess, that is where we're downloading from I think...

Some of the log, I won't upload a screenshot too and upset people ;)
