I'm sorry, but everyone on this forum that says that Apple is trash or stupid is just stupid themselves. Thousands of people are trying to download the 12GB Update, so of course the Apple servers are crashing. One must be very stupid to think that they have the capacity for every single user to download the Update at launch simultaneously. Just wait a few days, the issues will be either fixed by Apple directly or there won't even be need for that since traffic cools down and the servers will work just fine again.
I am using MacOS since Yosemite, and since then it always worked fine, never crashed and never lagged. Just be patient and stop being so stupid and giving Apple bad credit just for your inability to wait a bit...gosh
In the UK too, same issue. Not sure how they're working their servers, but even with a VPN it's playing up.Still got the same error over here in the UK![]()
Might want to edit out your serial number.Big update -> Big fail!

Got the same issue. Open a terminal, enterI'm getting a new issue, actually. After getting the error everyone keeps posting a screenshot of, suddenly my updates are now managed externally? News to me!

Yup. Wouldn't be surprised if they pulled Big Sur for the day.I feel like this is not getting fixed today.
I started mine around 11 and it was downloading fine. Went to go do a job, came hour a few hours later, and got to enjoy seeing this message.I'm wondering if there are any folk around the world who have actually gotten through with this. Haven't noticed anyones success yet on this thread.
