2019. It’s a joke. Pay over a grand for a decent laptop and they kill it with a stupid update nobody asked for.
That's why I usually don't update until it's at least on .1 or more . I can't choose tho since the new MBPs needs Monterey. Thankfully it's not been crazy for me. So for me it's still okay and I can wait . But ye I get it for others that has severe problems with Monterey

I’ve learned my lesson now, didn’t realise it would be like this.

Memory leaks appear to be fixed on my MacBook Pro 14 so far.

I have 16GB (as per my previous MacBooks) and have been seeing the dreaded "out of memory" dialog a lot recently (never saw that in the past). I tried reverting to a "normal" mouse cursor as suggested but that didn't fix it. I was having thoughts on whether I should have paid the $$ for 32GB ...

Since upgrading this morning (and working all day with tons of Chrome tabs, Edge tabs, Outlook, Teams, Word, Evernote, Azure Data Studio, iTerm and with enlarged cursor again), the memory has been fine. Memory "pressure (whatever that is) hasn't got past 50%;

Even Control Centre seems to be behaving itself :)

Unfortunately the update did not fix the issue where certain external SSDs cannot be properly read or written to, which has also been causing TimeMachine issues for those with incompatible drives. It fixed it for some drives according to some users, but not all. Mine is still unresponsive with this computer but fine on others.

I don’t know now actually, it’s better but I don’t think it’s perfect?

I’m using Photoshop and I don’t know if they need to do an update for Monterey, or whether Apple just needs to do more fixes, not a clue. Just doesn’t feel quite right.
