Wonder if that will work with an US AppleID in Europe as Sideloading does not work with an US AppleID either even though I am in the EU ✊🏼
Thanks, I just tried it again. The Journal app worked this time - it had me authenticate with my Mac credentials - which wasn't popping up before, restarting the mirror session seemed to fix this for me.I just tried Revolut, Monzo & Barclays (UK), and didn't get prompted for FaceID, but went straight to passcode.
I found this article quite interesting on how an Aussie tricked their iPhone into thinking it's in the EU. Quite elaborate and not sustainable as a solution though.Wonder if that will work with an US AppleID in Europe as Sideloading does not work with an US AppleID either even though I am in the EU ✊🏼
For me, I can respond to Tinder messages while my phone is charging. Lmao. Which exactly what I did this afternoon when using it.What would be the main purpose of this feature, when one can already see and respond to messages, notifications, and email from the Mac? What am I missing?
I have a work MacBook and don't want my Apple ID connected to it, nor WhatsApp installed/authenticated on it. If work allows iPhone mirroring and block (via MDM) the drag/drop and copy/paste, I'll be happy. What would be the main purpose of this feature, when one can already see and respond to messages, notifications, and email from the Mac? What am I missing?
Hover a mouse above the mirrored phone and a menu pops up for Home Screen, etcNeeds a way to resize the screen. Also, using a Magic Mouse (or trackpad) any gesture to get back to the Home Screen ?
My grandmother just got a ~$100 flip phone and it's actually kind of nice. If I wasn't so horribly dependent on my iPhone I'd really consider it.Just give me a $100 Flip Phone
Yet another useless feature that we somehow miraculously survived without until now. Is it just me, or are most of the features in the last five years nothing more than solutions in search of problems?
If it were up to me, companies would be barred from creating any new features until previous bugs are eliminated.
I did some poking around, as far as I can tell you need an US Apple ID to get past the “this feature is not available in this region” error messageHas anyone found a workaround for the EU?
app locking is not the same as signin security. I would not want any of my financial apps to rely on app locking for signin requirements.iOS 18 is introducing a universal way to do app locking. Until apps switch to that, they have had to implement this locking themselves, and it's possible that Mirroring doesn't support the one-off implementation?
I recall hearing from another user that it can’t. Probably too much airplaying on top of airplaying. I imagine the function is coming to Vision Pro natively eventually.id like to know if iphone mirroring works when you bring your mac into vision pro.
Does anyone know if iphone mirroring works when you bring your mac into vision pro and start the iphone mirroring Mac?
That might be the first reasonable comment I see on the topic. I was also really looking forward to this feature and Apple Intelligence, but it seems like we need to wait. I hope there will be a reasonable solution. I think neither the EU, nor Apple look good in this mess.Really looking forward to this feature. Alas, being in the EU means having to wait longer
Mandatory disclaimer: I'm all for sensible government regulations of big tech, but the DMA is just painfully hamfisted and causes more problems than it solves.
We’ve hit Inception. Not sure why I need to be in it either. What would be the main purpose of this feature, when one can already see and respond to messages, notifications, and email from the Mac? What am I missing?
Just tried this and it doesn’t work. They’ll need to bring something else to make this work. Have not tried it with third party mirroring apps, though.id like to know if iphone mirroring works when you bring your mac into vision pro.
