I just tried installing the 15.7 Sequoia update, and it stopped at half the download, 2.29 out of 4.38gb.

Something is definitely wrong with Apple's servers.
The servers are overloaded, happens every year and Apple never seem to have capacity for the rush.

I've not used any of the beta and I'm pleasantly surprised at how understated Liquid Glass is.

Well done Apple.

Get past the lock screen and you have to really hunt for Liquid Glass.

And that's a good thing, as you tend to do your work on the Mac.

Some have said that Apple hasn't worked out how to use Liquid Glass on macOS. Maybe so. But it might also be that Apple recognised that as its oldest platform and with it's most conservative users it would be best to underplay the new look.

Having said that, I can see why long time Mac users are unsettled with the way that the Mac is going.

However, I think that a greater link to Apple's most successful product - the iPhone - is important to have.

Let's hope that they can still keep each platform's identity intact.

And iPadOS is now free to be the Janus like OS - i.e. one side looks to iOS and the other to the Mac.
I'm not a fan of the speaker/brightness setting bar moved to top right corner when changing it.

That doesn't make sense though of what is happening. Half of it downloads within 2 minutes, then basically stops.
It's possible the part being overloaded is the verification check of the file signature or something like that, but I don't pretent to understand the download process down to that level.

c'mom you sweet mother of pearl you LG OS....download nice and soft, ya baby driver

Well then, let’s see what this glassy thing is like, hopefully they give us a liquid glass magnifying glass to find all the settings

Safari seems to have some whitespace down the whole of the lefthand side now, but not on the right (looking at it on ipad mini). Its the same for every website so it must be intentional. As a web designer that is very annoying

So this appears to be a direct link, which downloads completely and quickly. Its the pkg installer

The fact this 16 GB monster comes down quickly but using apple's software installer times out seems to definitely point to a bug with Apple's updater, their CDN specifically with updates, or both.
thanks i'm using this link for the MacBook Air M1 , as the mini had uploaded-ing already
unless Tim Cook logs me off. my MBA......that rat!

I have not been following the updates to what this version brought. I have multiple Mac's so I updated one today.

PLEASE tell me there is a way to turn off those FUGLY app corners????????? It is way to round and makes MacOS which already had a slight cartoon feel to it, way worse. I would also like to turn off the transparency as well.

Uggg the Windows11en********ation of MacOS.

Found out how to turn "reduce transparency" and I can see the outline of my menu bar again. This version is just ugly. Looks like what Google did to Android.

Update:

Had to unplug all my monitors...still can’t believe that you can’t do a simple update when you have more than one monitor connected…mind you this is just to update to 15.7
Great 120 Hz is gone from my LG C3 connected via the M4 Mac mini..15.7
