I'm thinking about getting Dunne to replace Ben Haim, and I'm kicking myself for having taken Kuyt over Torres for striker. Liverpool wins 6-0 over Derby and Kuyt can't get a goal. At least Kanu scored for me.

I need Stevie G back...

Of course, as soon as I get Dunne, he goes and gets red-carded.

Still a good week though, so no complaints.

Yeah, I noticed that. :D

A shame, because I'd like to dump Ben Haim. I need either a new striker or a new defender.

I'm way off the pace, but if things go well for the rest of the season I could possibly get to mid-table.

Not a bad weekend for me, still 3rd bottom, but climbing.

Made a change up front, with Santa-Cruz coming in for the seemly out of favor Chopra. Gerrard back in the middle as well, still doubtful, but hopefully be fit after the international break.

How many transfers can I make per week without loosing points? Just one?

Shame. Thankfully I was able to bring Gerrard into the center of my midfield as he was only on the bench. As I say, hopefully he'll be fit by the time the PL starts again.

Damn wrong thread. This is soccer I take it :D I thought I was in an alternate universe. Sorry folks, just looking for the Real fantasy football thread.

Oh, oh my. Did you just call your weak example of Rugby 'Real' football.

I'll be watching for your user name from now on and shooting down everything you say. :p

Not a bad Saturday for my team – an impressive 60 point haul has seen them move up into fourth place, plus a couple of my stars have still yet to feature in their matches this weekend so potentially there are still a few more points in the offing. Ace.

It looks like the training sessions I prescribed during the international break did the trick – extra star jumps for everyone!

Well done, Jaffa. My team has been good all season so far, so I can't be too upset about the bump in the road yesterday.

A big shout-out to Cesc for getting me 32 points. :D So nice to celebrate two wins in one day.

Anyone know the extent of Drogba's knee injury? It says 'out until September' on the fantasy site.

Go Gunners!

Another underachieving week.

Had a good week last week but Benitez screwed me this week with his rotation...Real life prevented me from changing my lineup and I left Kuyt in (didn't play) when I should have swapped him for Crouch to pick up at least a couple points.

...And my other striker, Kanu, had his penalty saved.

I need to score more goals, but this week I dumped Ben Haim in favor of Vidic. Need to get a striker next week unless Kanu and Kuyt start scoring.

Clint Dempsey comes through for me once again though with my team's only goal.

71 points first week and Owen still to play tomorrow night.....Things are looking good, maybe Ill catch up with some of the lower teams on the ladder....

ShadoW

I read that he's set his sights on being fit for Chelsea's Champions League tie against Valencia on 3rd October.

I actually think he's perfectly fine and has faked his injury in a cowardly attempt to avoid facing Hull in the League Cup a week-on-Wednesday. Expect to see other Chelsea players following suit over the next few matches. ;)

It's early I know, but changes had to be made. I played my wildcard transfer last night, out went Healy, Wright-Phillips and Ingimarsson in came Dan Agger, Clint Dempsey and Dean Ashton, all straight into the starting lineup.

Hopefully we'll be able to claw our way up the table now.

An official statement from the Sporting Dual-Cores manager

I know that there have been a lot of rumours and speculation these past few days, but I’d like to make it publicly known that – while my team may be performing well at the moment thus proving my credentials as a top-class manager – no one from Chelsea FC has been in contact with me with regards to the current managerial situation at their club.

I would like to reiterate that I’m totally committed to Sporting Dual-Cores, and am looking forward to the challenge of leading them to further success this season.

Thank you.

Thats it... Jaffa will be gone within a week. I feel for those fans, they've supported you through thick and thin and you are off, just for better money.

A good week for me this time, though Kanu and Kuyt are still under-performing. At least Kanu scored today, but my midfielders are still getting the lion's share of my goals.

Kept Schmeichel in this time, but should have used James. Go Petrov!
