didnt read the thread but I'm sure it's full of hate. I switched from vbulletin to xenforo this year too, absolutely no regrets. It runs SO much better, and it's way easier on the server than VB. VB has been a joke for a long time, no reason to stick with them

And here I was thinking both my iPad and iPhone were screwing up!! Will take some adjustments on my part but so far so good. Thanks guys.

Just had a look at the Audentio website. My brain hurts. That is one fugly advert for a design studio.

Can we please be able to switch to old layout? My eyes hurt with the new layout..

I find it a little harder to focus on the post text itself now. All that bright white (wasted) space, the huge user pictures on the left, and the dark and bolded button text at the bottom of each post seem to bury the text in which I'm actually interested.

Perhaps I'll get used to it.

previous layout was more compact fit more content/comments on one page, not to mention this has started to strain my eyes. hope apple insider do not go this route. Function over form.

Once we have passed certain point in our life, it gets harder and harder to get used to changes when it was working perfectly fine before the change...
To the point where we just don't want to spend any more time to get used to new things...

Yea, the compact-ness could be tightened up a bit, and as someone said above, change the 'emphasis' contrast between the post text and the other stuff a bit. But, all in all, I think it's a nice improvement. And, gaining responsive presentation is a pretty big deal. :)

There is no old layout, the entire forums were switched from the vBulletin software to XenForo. The current layout is using a responsive theme that changes based on screen size. Hopefully we'll have a variety of themes in the future.

I like a lot of it. The most disturbing is the shifting of the lines of text as the page loads. I think it is resizing for the ads on the top and bottom. I start to read a post and it shifts down a line or two and then may shift up a line. Very tiring on the eyes.

I liked the buttons on the old format that had "Next Thread" and "Previous Thread." Are those gone or am I just not finding them?

Thanks.

I'm really liking the design, though I feel like the avatars should have the square rounded-corner shape like that of an app icon instead of a circle.

Like it except that each post takes up more vertical space than before. On a 15" screen it can barely display more than 3 posts at a time now.

God this is one FUGLY design. Flat, "responsive", "modern" is other words for no talent "designers". Let's take elects of great design, "flatten them" to something from a 1980's Apple 2 and call it "fresh" and "modern".

It's got way too much white space, way too flat icons, and just reeks of horrible-ness.

Time to fire the "designers". Will be great when this trend hits the garbage can where it belongs.

I personally hate the new look. I find finding out where to put my reply is much more difficult. There's no contrast anymore. Everything is just white, without lines or borders.
