Why would you think I'd mean you if I didn't quote you and you didn't mention Apple TV?

The OP post said to post feedback on the Forums in the thread, so that's what I did.

The Apple TV is currently listed under Macs, which doesn't make any sense.
OK. How could I see what you were referring to, when not quoting? ;) in my order of posts, your post was directly under mine. All cool now. Thanks for the clarification. *no sarcasm / irony*

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

- Post reply is missing from top.
- Command F to search shows +Quote Reply on hits that hides text.
- Command F to search does not work while writing a reply.
- Cannot advance search for user.

Awesome! The old forums looked like a holdover from the 90's -- I don't get all the idiots complaining about a new, halfway-decent design with essentially the same functionality.

I completely abandoned MacUpdate when they went to a modern, flat, space wasting, and hard to read theme. Hopefully, MacRumors will listen to its critics and put readability first, before the current fashionable trends in web design that are harder to read, have worse usability, waste space, but do generate lots of web redesign revenue.

Generally, I like change and appreciate the work that went into MacRumors changes, but these changes need a bit of tweaking, including a bit of professional usability insight.

Seems slower and slightly more bloated, am I the only one noticing a delay when typing?
look into the powerpc section, there is a thread on the new style and there are several other users having a delay. I have it too. You can disable "rich text" in the preferences, but then you can not bold type stuff etc. Also directly clicking on "more options" next to the reply button, will fasten it a bit more to an acceptable speed.

You can use bbcode in the non rich text editor.

It would seem all likes made before this update have been lost.

That was on purpose. Doing so would mean deanonymizing the votes and people didn't like the idea of doing that on retrospect.

Looks much better and seems like iCloud Keychain will finally work.

EDIT: Tested it and yes, iCloud Keychain finally works for saving accounts passwords on MacRumours! Good job.

Exactly! It finally asked me to save my password.

"Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...
    • and receive email notifications of replies"
Should be disabled by default, it appears to be throwing a lot of people off guard. Nobody wants tons of notifications just because they replied to a thread.

I never would have noticed this otherwise without an article... Cheers MR :)

A few nifty little surprises too... We all like..

The ability to quote users not only same page, but same reply box instantly is

Crap, I can't hide avatars anymore? This sucks! Gah. I don't mind the new design but I like to have the pages all text, no images and I can't find a place to turn those off anymore. The giant avatars are not only distracting, but they mean you can't view nearly as many posts on one page, as most posts are only a line or two but now require much more vertical space because of the avatar.

I think a little more contrast would make the text easier to read. The background is a bit too bright or white.
