The biggest issue I have is that the forums seem to be a tiny bit slower to load--I don't know if that's because everything is bigger or what. Also, I'm having trouble distinguishing between posts. Wish there were bigger borders like the previous layout.

As others have said it feels like we're using a 'full-fat' version of the forums where there's lots of white space around even one-line posts. Would be great if we can could get a half-fat/skinny version - maybe by shrinking down the size of the Avatars which seem to be partially responsible?

Patting myself on the back hmm...

Yes you are right, I wrongfully took credit for:
1. finding a cure for cancer.
2. developing a new app that helps you get your head out of your misguided aspirations.
3. found a way to stop single socks from disappearing.

Oh yeah, I did none of these things, nor did I pat myself on the back.

I'll pay you double the price of a Mac Pro if you could create a device to stop single socks from disappearing.

Is it just me? This is the only website that keeps crashing on my iPad and iPhone. Desktop is OK, but I just cannot use it on my iPhone and iPad. Anybody with the same problem?

My problem is that the iPhone / iPad version is displaying on my 27" desktop. Oh wait, that's the design.

@arn

I would like to see the ability to use "desktop view" on my iPhone. I posted a link to the XenForo add-on for this feature in the other thread. I almost always dislike mobile views of any kind. They are always too "big" and take up too much space, looking cluttered.

Other than that, I dig it! I like XenForo much more than the previous system, especially the alerts.

Desktop view on your phone. They are actually the same. It's just how it lays out. No MobileTheme toggle for your screen.

What's the point of an iPhone 6+ 5.5 inch screen if I have to use a mobile version of a site.

Some of us "old men" don't have vision problems, though all the brightness here is sure to start some.

Here you go.

Jony Ive voice: "For the new MacRumors forum design we had to rethink what a forum really is. We conceived, designed and developed the new MacRumors forum as a complete novel and unprecedented way of communication that connects with the user at an intimate level yet simultaneously precipitate desire to connect with others. While new it is somehow familiar."

I do love the new look. It is magnificent yet unostentatiously.

Don't understand all the 'hate' and 'love' comments... it's just a forum. This 'update' is ok. It's not ugly so you can't look at it, and it's not beautiful so you can't look away. As for functionality, It works, I does exactly what you expect... and thats fine by me.

The design is fresh and clean. My only issue is the space – everything has far too much space and the fonts are too big. It's like using a deck of large-numeral playing cards.

Wondering if there's some way to turn off the popup that allows you Quote or Reply when highlighting text? I like to do so while I read and it's not for purposes of quoting or replying..
