Every time I reply to any thread, I start automatically following that thread. It's incredibly annoying. Anyone know whether there's an option to disable that behavior? (I've looked and can't find it)

Agree about the whitespace. Round avatars are weird, any chance for people to override that with square ones?

Otherwise not bad. Seems like everyone is ditching vBB.

Hover over your user name in the upper right corner, select preferences, then uncheck - Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...

Hover over your username in the top-right corner and select Preferences. It’s the first checkbox under options.

Good:
- The composing windows and stuff all look nicer.
- Something was weird about the login system before, and now it's fixed.
- I like that upvotes are no longer anonymous. Anonymous upvotes kinda meant nothing.
- The design is generally good.

Bad:
- Round avatars. Even worse is that there's an edge on the circles, so I can't make it look like my avatar has transparent space around it.
- Scrolling down to the bottom to comment. It also misleadingly shows your new comment on the first page no matter what until you reload.
- I don't know what's supposed to be more secure about this. Still no HTTPS.

OK...just a few quick notes...post numbers are too big and bold (half the size is about right); the time of the post is not clear--the position doesn't make it clear whether it applies to the post above or below--and make that color bar smaller as it's not all that important to 99% of readers; the default avatar size is about 15% too big, as is the default post size.

That does it, other than that good job.

Now Roland.g and I have to finish up on the Apple maglev car (with real mag wheels) before WWDC. Busy busy.

I like the new Design except for the incredibly large gap/margin between two different posts. In my opinion, they should get rid of the gap completely as the padding itself is sufficient.

I quite like it. With anything new, it will take getting used to. People who hate change will, of course, dislike it. That's expected.

Needs a bit more red, and some sort of ability to adapt to the size of the window. Not sure I like it all centered.

This update still appears to lack integration of iCloud Keychain. That's a big one for me.

Looks better. Much better. Maybe a little bit too much whitespace from vertical padding per each post - half an inch per post makes a big difference to information density, posts per page/screen.

One example - for a desktop, why have the circular avatar below the username and title? If the post is short, this forces the post to be 2 inches tall minimum. Have the avatar hidden/smaller/to the side and this will help.

I agree with these points.

As a result of the low dynamic range of contrast in the design colour scheme, and the lack of borders to posts, the delineation between posts is not immediately clear. The darkest element is the horizontal blue line that merges with the post number on the right. As the darkest element, it would be assumed to be the divider between posts, making the time of the post refer to the post above it.
