Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the thread preview "hover box" always appears above the thread title, even if that means it appears off-screen (when the thread title is near the top of the screen).

Order of things near the generic footer

Topic-specific share buttons, and the lower breadcrumb trail, should be promoted a little, to appear at the foot of the topic. Probably below the reply area.

Logically: when a person aims to share, they aim to share the topic (not the table that's in the screenshot).

Also, it's not logical to have the breadcrumb trail below things with very different crumbs.

One other "feature" of the former navigational option is that I didn't have to scroll around/drill down quite so much - the forum/subforum I "am in" is at the top of the navigational menu, and the new nav menu always unfurls from the topmost forums which is a time-waster to me as I've got more hunting to do in "where I am and where do I want to go to next". I prefer the previous menu actions. Just saying.

This has been fixed.

@arn, is the border around quotes a little darker today? ;)

That makes sense, even though it means the share buttons are more in the way (has anyone actually used those?).

I'm sure you can exchange them for schrute bucks. I'll have to find the exchange rate

My question was poorly worded, I get (assume) you earn points for trophies, but I haven't heard any information on what trophies, how you earn them, etc.

The sarcasm wasn't necessary (assuming it was sarcasm since there were no cues to go by).

Sorry, was going for humor :)

It's just a little reward system that's built into xenforo. Nothing much, we are stil sorting out what the tiers are.

I actually just came back to delete the sarcasm comment once I googled "schrute bucks." I've never watched the office. :p

My apologies. I thought it was a snarky comment. Meh, it's late for me (midnight). ;)

Truncation of titles of topics

Whilst weeding subscriptions I found a truncated title at https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ing-at-a-substantially-full-capacity.1819314/ – it ended at ful

I corrected, extended the title. I guess that the truncation occurred during migration.

Cramped overlays where a dedicated page would be more appropriate

updated to take up the entire height of the page. Just look at how much scrolling is required …

There's the same problem with the interface to wiki version comparisons.

I sought a way to open things in a new tab, couldn't find one.

Share buttons

… share buttons … has anyone actually used those …

Never.

Has anyone else used a share button?

Wiki version comparisons

You should be able to open the History link …

Thanks. So, not working with Command-Click.

Incidentally the version selection interface is not too bad in an overlay. It's the comparison (resulting from selections) that's awfully cramped. https://xenforo.com/community/#xenforo-community-support.22 might be a good place to ask but I don't have privileges.

Sorting all watched threads, new posts …
… and so on. I'd like the table headings to sort the contents. With an additional heading:

Forum

(I just spent a very long time ceasing to watch in areas that no longer interest me. If the interface had presented things sorted by area – by forum – the time required would have been more than halved.)

Searching watched areas

Since long before the migration to XenForo, I very often wished for a way to search within watched areas. That wish continues.

A checkbox at https://forums.macrumors.com/search/ would be ideal.
