A friend of mine who knows I'm an Apple enthusiast told me about this. I was happy to hear it was getting coverage! Amazing career change Arn, kudos and g'luck! I think the article had a positive effect on the public in relation to Apple and the interests on these boards (thought they be many...).

Excellent news!

Awesome Arn! Just caught this while reading the New York Times as I usually do this time of night and said, "hey, i know that guy!"

Congrats on and good luck with Penelope!

I think Arn made a great decision based on his circumstances. There are many doctors, but only one MacRumors :)

I've spent so much time here it's incredible - thanks again, Arn!

Support MacRumors, everyone!

Some of the comments on Digg are so pathetic.

"Wow, way to take up a slot in medical school. There might have been some poor sap who couldn't get in and now can't live out his dream, all cause of this guy."

Awesome job you're doing Arn! Thanks for providing us with the news and insight MacRumors offers. :) I meant to post this as soon as I saw your "tweet?".. got beat to it!

+1 to this post :D

Congratulations, arn! I've been enjoying TouchArcade too.

But we all know the REAL moneymaker has always been... MacPolls.com :p

I posted it on Page 2 and linked to this thread.

Oh, and I was the one that accidentally rated it negative, before anyone says anything. :)

Thanks for the support guys,
arn

Aha!

"Hmmm, do I look drunk in that tiny picture. Oh well, I'll just vote this negative so no one of my minions will ever see that article." :D

Anyway, congrats, Arn. Didn't know you are/were a physician. I can't even imagine a physician having enough free time to run a site like this and stay visible in the forums.

RESPECT!

Hah! Glad to know I'm not the only one who does that. Though every time I rate a story, the counter doesn't update. Then I never know if my vote went through or if I clicked the wrong one. Oh well.

Congrats and I'm looking forward to the new site updates. My vote is for a whole section devoted to new iPhone apps. It would be great to make an auto-updating list of the newest apps, previews of upcoming apps, and in-depth reviews for some of the hottest apps. Perhaps there would be some way to provide information on each app, such as total downloads, pricing history, and a version tracker for updates? Oh and a screen shot library for each app that could be user-submitted and reviewed by the mods. Sometimes there aren't many screenshots in iTunes, or they don't show all the features--usually the ones that I care about the most. There could also be a featured app of the week highlight and a "crap-app" of the week awarded to one of the worst. So many possibilities!! Good luck!

Wow this is great!

Having just started Med School this year, I always though you have to sacrifice your hobby if you want to studying Medicine...

But seeing how far you have come with your hobby, I better try to keep my hobbies going too!

Thanks Arn and Good luck with your future projects!

Congratulations! Balancing medical and family life is always hard, and in my view, the family can suffer, as doctors have a duty to their patients, and it's hard to balance it.

Any thoughts or plans on what to do with the potential increase in time for MacRumors, aside from work on the TouchArcade site?

Congratulations :) Very cool article. And. Well. Very cool site.

Thanks Arn (and the Mods) for keeping up this great site.

Edit: Oh and. I'll soon be sending you all my bills from the Impulse Buys excited by your coverage of Apple events.
