Mine is no. 7.

Now that I think of it I remember handing over my iPhone for the photo but I barely remember getting it back (although I did get it back). Were people buying me all those beers to get me drunk enough to steal my iPhone??? Because it almost worked... :p

... and number 9 is mine, I think!

(great day and evening, by the way! Thanks to everyone for coming and for BV and co. for doing their usual bang-up job getting it all organised!)

edit: just checked my iPhone and one of the few photos I took was this one outside the pub:

It made me chuckle.

One of those old-skool 1st Gen ones belongs to Mark-Mac-Attack. We had a conversation in the park, over beer, about the aesthetic qualities of the aluminium back versus the plastic ones.

Yes, we shared a slight geeky moment.

I think – and this is a bit of a guess - that #4 is mine and #5 is calculus's.

It was really nice to meet some new folk and catch up with some others we hadn't seen for ages. Thanks also to BV and everyone else who made it run so smoothly.

We seem to have had such a good time that we didn't take any photos at all. Sorry. :p There might be some on the film cameras we brought though, time will tell. ;)

Yeah, this whole picnic was a scam! :D

Could you please keep us posted on the rest of your journey? I'd love to hear about your impressions from all the different countries you are travelling through.

I do have a thread about my trip but it's in the private forums. But if you're on Twitter you can follow me there, I post pretty regularly.

Yes one of them is, no doubt the right hand one.

Oh and it's clearly correct about the 1st gen. being the greatest (well maybe apart from the non-flush headphone jack )

I had to leave for Turkey soon after the picnic so I never got round to saying thanks.

So here we go - thanks everyone for a great time, and thanks for BV's heroic efforts organising and marshalling the picnic.

Shame I had to leave before the iphone photo or mine would be there. (old skool first gen metal back).

best wishes RT

I had to leave for Turkey...

I wondered where you had disappeared to. It was great to meet you. I saw lots of writing going on at one stage over in the corner of the pub so I hope the pad and pen thing worked out for you in the end :)

thanks for BV's heroic efforts organising and marshalling the picnic.

No probs... I get a buzz out of seeing so many people from here come together, and I try to consider the wishes and needs of everyone, and given the circumstances I did my best, although I may as well state this now:

In all likelihood, I will not be organising next year's one, so if people would like to see the London Picnics continue, then I invite London/UK demis to step forward and take charge of next summer's event, using what we've learned by doing them over the past few years.

Please don't wait for me to drive the process next time around when the discussion usually comes around in January or so. It's in your hands. :)
