Yay just successfully restored from TM my macbook with its new 500GB drive after the HD crashed a few days ago. Always good to see the first boot go well - was a bit nervous as it was my first restore from TM. OK, quick shower, then I'm off. See you about 3.30ish.

Just got in from a very long day, but an excellent one. Thanks to all who made the effort to get down to the park, despite the mixed — and certainly memorable — weather. I think others might possibly post a little more about the day in the days ahead, and with a little luck there might be a pic or two.

I'd like to thank everybody who made the effort to come down to the park and have a laugh and a drink with the gang, especially those who flew in from Norway, Germany, Portugal etc. or those who caught trains or coaches to travel hundreds of miles within the UK to come here for the day. I'd also like to thank everyone who bought me a drink. ;)

We ended up with about 23-26 people or so; some old and familiar forum names, familiar faces... and some very welcome new ones.

Every time I come to one of these days, I go through phases of feelings before the day... but never ever regret it, because you're such a nice crowd. It never disappoints.

Thanks all. :)

It was good to see all the old and new faces :). I'm on the bus heading back home now and unlike last night I have working wifi!

It'll be great to do again next year.

If I told you that since the picnic my butt hurts, that would probably sound all wrong, wouldn't it? :D Next Year I will bring a pillow to sit on.

Ouch.

Sounds really great. Does anybody have any pictures? I'll try to attend next year too! :)

Nope. Sounds about right. It's a sign of a good picnic, as long as your pants were on the right way round and you can remember everything of course.

It was great to meet you, and the other picnic newbies.

As with previous picnics, photos tend to be frowned upon. Many of us don't like being on the lens side of cameras. There may be a photo of all the iphones though.

Photo, yes...good one, well, someone else have to provide that... ;)

Mind you, that table top was soaked by a pint of Guinness just prior to the iPhones being laid down there, so in a way they got a drink, too... :D

Splendid work Mitty, however I note you've taken the easy way out and haven't captioned the pic with which iPhone belongs to which MacRumormonger. :D ;)

Mine is second from the left, if memory serves. I think it was Miss Jaffa Cake's Guinness coating the table too.

Thats brilliant. I hope people will post some other pictures too. I hate that I missed this one. I've always wanted to visit London, and now I have even more incentive to go.

Post more pics!

Mine is the first white one from the right.

I have no idea which is which, I cannot even identify my own, only know it's one of the white ones in the middle...

Edit:

Scrap that, it's the first white from the left, apparently... :p

Mine is the first white one from the right.

Be unique. Be an individual. Stand apart from the crowd. Buy an iPhone.

:D

It's my coping strategy for the jealousy of not owning one. Old-skool phones FTW.

I think this is the first time we ever saw group pic form the picnic. :D
