Well, after reading this rumour and doing a hard reset I'm happy to confirm that safari feels snapier. ;)

Congrats MR

Congratulations to the MR team, it's a testament to your handwork. Even since have I have been posting here you can tell the numbers have increased. The bandwidth bills must be scary

I feel OLD!!!

Man I was just a little kid on a PowerPC 6100/60 when I first visited MR! My how the time has flown!

Check out this link to catch a glimpse of what the site first looked like when I started visiting it! I didn't create a forum account until a few years later (2003).

I love the old retro look in 2000 - 2002. Arn, to celebrate the enormous success you have had, you should revert the theme back to the early days for 24 hours!

Do you manage to monetize the site with ads sufficiently to cover your hosting etc? I assume someone is earning a wage or two somewhere. You would hope so with the great coverage you provide.

Have you even considered going a little more 2.0 with look and feel?

Its the iPhone effect! :)

Seriously guys, you are in my daily safari tab group - essential reading.

I like it!! Very mac like! ;-)

Speaking of Mac like...only got round to watching Wall-E the other day.....Nuff said I think.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; nl-nl) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I think it's time for a massive give-away!

Congrats. So many interesting people here on the MR Forums!

It says a lot about the new blog opinion wave, people just got to have an opinion and it doesn't exist until you post it << Example :D

The buyers guide, solid news feed and good moderating is what made it the succes it is I think. A forum is as good as it's moderators, so congrats to those guys / girls / gaga's. And off course solid hosting and not messing around with the design too much, find stuff where expected no fancy menu's or a zillion rounded drop shadow edges.

And it is always good to know Apple is going places, it means a bright future for the products we love. (well ok the Final Cut Studio is 3 years behind but bleah... it still does the job)

hip hip hurray

The only thing I don't like is that popular threads are now full of 500 replies that pretty much repeat themselves 50 times and the whole windows / mac thing keeps popping up everywhere so.. well kinda stop reading those bigger threads. (been around for about 9 years)

100,000 inactive members

I remember several years ago calling someone a troll on here and was given a vacation by a Mod for name-calling.

500000 members?

Exactly how many of those "members" are active users with more than 1 post?

I think you guys forgot to mention the importance of the buyers guide - that's what got my attention in the first place, and I am sure I am not the only one.

22 Negatives?

How can anyone give this article a negative? I just don't get some of the people who view this site. Oh well... congratz anyway Macrumors! Great site and FWIW very good articles. I always go here to catch up on gossip and late breaking news about Apple.

I've always wondered if Robots are voting both up and down as they follow the links.
