Oh goodness ... where to start..

  • Pivoting off of Ive designs on ever thinning things..
  • All of Apple Silicon, which is incredible.
  • Airpods.
  • Really all the Mac hardware at this point in time, probably save for the Mac Pro which bums me out to see depart.
  • iPhone is an incredible product -- all of them -- despite my disappointment that they aren't currently offering something smaller than 6".
  • iPad hardware is mostly excellent, even if the software story remains in flux
  • I'm not an Apple Watch guy, but it's objectively an outstanding product line.
There's been TONS of greatness under Tim Cook.

Part of why I'm so excited to see a hardware guy getting promoted to CEO is because of how great the hardware is!

I wonder if the Tim Cook era will go unappreciated. Apple could have crashed and burned, but they not only survived, but they also thrived. They survived Jony Ive leaving, they made the Mac even more compelling with the M chips. They haven't been perfect, but even under Jobs, they had similar problems of products being released and then being close to abandoned. I don't find the events as exciting as I used to, but it's still fun to watch them to see what they've come up with next.
I don't know how John will run the company, but I feel comfortable knowing that he's been a part of the team long enough that things won't just plummet within a year or 2 of him being in charge. It will be interesting to see if he continues doing the events the same way or if they try something different.

This is so meta. I’m posting a comment on an article that is nothing more than comments from a previous article!

Now they can do another article, summarising the comments from this article.

Next. Level. Journalism.

In fact I genuinely think Macrumors writers are just trolling for laughs now with their articles. To be fair, it is kinda funny.

But in all seriousness, maybe this isn’t the site anymore for serious Apple News? What do you all think of the alternatives?
