Thats all fine and dandy but the fact is Samsung is selling millions of these devices and att just added the galaxy mega to there line up.

Samsung took a chance with the phablet and hit a home run and everyone is now following.fact is Samsung sold more note 2s then HTC sold on its whole entire phone line up including the HTC one.

They will sell 10 million note 3s before year end if they get this phone out before october

Nokia lumina just announced a 6.0 in windows phone to compete with the mega while apple just sits back and hopes its loyol users will stick with them

They are not going to sell millions of those devices because they have so many options. They were going to sell milions of gs4s regardless. Having 35 variations of a product is not necessary, especially when you have figured out the 3 most popular variations.

There is always going to be some nut bag that wants yet another variation. Having a variation for every nut bag in the internet does not make samsumg's strategy better. It just highlights the fact that they don't know when to say no.

----------

Lol wonder why Mercedes makes a c250,c300,c300 4 mattic,c350 and then the bad ass c63 amg and then for the even bigger bad ass the c63 black series!

I guess they just want to shoot a bunch of cars in the sky lmfao

The Mercedes and Samsung analogy is only fitting in that both are steaming piles of turds.

The note 2 witch is a phablet sold 10 million!

Want to make a side bet the note 3 out sells it?

There are 3 major sizes Samsung pushes

Gs4 mini gs4 and note 3

Those will sell very well and will hit there segments well and if you think a c63 is a turd I don't know what to tell you.

You can substitute Mercedes for any car maker.

How many models does the honda accord come in?

Es,se,sh,ex 4 cyl,6 cyl auto, manual and the new belt tranny

2 door 4 door and wagon versions of cars? Ya I guess they just make them and shoot for the sky right?

Fact is Samsung is selling millions and they are hitting size segments with all these deviced

I know 3 of my friends that love hiking and being out doors and when the gs4 active came out they were very excited for it but I guess Samsung doesn't know what there doing right because people are not buying right? Lol

I only demo'ed a Galaxy S3 and wasn't into it. Friend went to a GS4 cause he wanted to change it up and said it was good but not what the fanboys make it out to be.

Innovative is just a buzz word everyone on the net uses when it comes to mobile. Probably are barking that word out when they are getting down with their significant other as well.

I went from an iPhone 4S to the Galaxy S3 (and now S4 Active) and love the GUI change. I find it to be basically a customizeable version of the iPhone OS GUI (yeah, Apple had good reason to sue). More importantly, though, the hardware on the Samsung is amazing, working much faster than my 4S (expected), a much bigger screen, SD card expansion slot and swappable battery. To get those hardware advantages as the "cost" of basically the same GUI makes it a no brainer for me.

So are we now expecting iWatch to be showcased on the 10th?
We do not expect this rumor to become reality within less than two years. And even then, you shouldn't buy the very first generation. The first iPhone had no AppStore and misunderestimated the importance of native third-party Apps. The wrist is an interesting place for Apple to explore the future of wearable computing, not less and not more.

FFS if this is all they can come up with, then I don't see any reason to re-up my contract with AT&T. I'll just keep using my n4, see what the n5 brings and hopefully Apple can deliver something interesting with the iP6.

I would like to see some pricing for the iMac Pro since my '09 iMac is starting to show its age.

Dual LED's yes, Dual flash no

I'm guessing since the iPhone is getting better lowlight capabilities, Apple is including an AF Assist LED. Note that leaked images show one LED to be red. An AF Assist light aids in autofocus where there is low light. Many cameras use them, but with previous iPhone cameras there wouldn't have been much point as the low light pic is gonna be grainy without flash and wiped out with. With a bright enough lens and improved sensor the camera can avoid flash but still needs help to decide focal length. A brighter flash is not the answer to improving low light capability but better lens, sensor and focusing ability is.

Different phones for different people, nothing wrong with it. I am using a flip phone for myself. I'll get around to a smartphone later this year I guess. Customization is a fantastic thing and I find it stupid Apple doesn't let you change icons under the stock phone. SD card slot is obviously awesome. The times I used Android I just find myself wishing it was webOS that had it's legs spread as an OS. Just my opinion. WHen a person asks me my thoughts on which phone to get, I dont give it, I just tell them "Get whatever the F you want" I could give two poops really.

Never cared about screen size to be honest. Even on 7 inch tablets stuff looks cramped to me. My main things for a phone:

1. Making calls (obvious)
2. Camera
3. Playing music

I will say for screen size that Apple should just get it over with and do a 4, 4.5, and a 5 inch and that should cover it really. But they had that commercial showing how one's thumb works.... so yeah about 2 more years I guess.

Also I am NOT entering another 2 year contract period. These things cost $200 to make, give or take a shade. This market is currently in need of a falling out to get them prices down. I will look at my options at 200-300 off contract, Apple probably wont fit that bill though.

You are absolutely right, and it is all about personal preference. I understand people who like the iPhone, and I respect their opinion. It just doesn't work for me. I do think more people would like the Android OS (and specifically the Samsung Galaxy line of phones) if they gave it an honest try, but I get that it isn't for everyone.

*Thumbs up*

iPhone works 100% well, what is it on the S4 that one will use on daily basis? being realistic...I have used the S4 for a few days and there was nothing special that I needed which I couldn't do/use just as well on the iPhone 5.

Few things that probably will never change about Android operating phones:
#1 - Bloatware - Insane amount of it (Disabling is it not the same - it should not be there)
#2 - Bloatware - taking up huge chunk of the RAM & storage - no wonder Android phone manufacturers keep bumping up the RAM - but guess what...Carriers are dumping more and more Bloatware to fill that "Extra" RAM....
#3 - Samsung has no innovation - throwing a bunch of features together into all sizes one could possibly think of is far from innovation - Also Android has too many accounts - realistically try using a android phone and see how much you truly have to setup before you are fully able to use the phone without doing a single additional thing..(this goes out to users who actually use their phones for more than just talking and playing games)..iPhone - One iCloud account does it all - add additional email accounts and thats it...Also on Android...Every App you download asks for "Access to phone calls, emails, sms" Why? (That also answers your security question...Muck like how Windows come pre-installed with Anti-Virus, Android now too comes pre-installed with Antivirus...iPhone - doesn't need one...Mac OSX - Doesn't need one - because the security is part of the OS's secure design from the ground up.

Gestures - How many gestures can one possibly do on a ~4" Screen? cant possibly put your whole hand on it unless your a 2 year old...iPhone offers 3 finger (maybe more? - I'm not sure) and I'm sure most people have never had the need to use more than two fingers on a smartphone....Samsung offers great (unnecessary) features but are they truly working at best each and every time? Sadly after playing around with a S4 for a few days nonstop, I can't confidently say that.

MultiTasking - personally iOS offers the simplest form of multi-tasking (You click twice - boom switch between apps....can it really get any more easier than that?)

Camera - iPhone has great camera, Samsung S4 has great camera, if we are going to compare camera...I think the HTC ONE (M7/butterfly) has the absolute best camera - that too in a 4MP - Like apple once said, its not just about the megapixels that matters, its the software that drives it. I would say iPhone 5 and Samsung S4 (& even Note II) are not any different in quality - HTC ONE definitely taking the lead..and then there's also the Nokia Lumia 1020 with its camera ---- whole new ball game.

What android has better at the moment - Google Now - the voice assistant is extremely accurate when it comes to recognizing phrases/sentences - Hopefully the Siri in iOS 7 final release is as good.

just my opinion based on people complaining about iPhone lacking features...btw how many "features" do windows phones have? Lumia & all other windows phones don't have anything thats innovative in that sense...yet people still like it...and they like it for its simplicity from what I have personally heard.

I wish Ubuntu Edge was successful, that OS would have put Android at the back of the line.

I Own an Galaxy S4 GPE, and previously I owned and iPhone 5,and still keep an iPhone 4S on my desk as BackupPhone.

I Can Say, Apple is losing hard agains Android (not samsung alone), My S4 comes with Stock Android (most s4 and HTC ONE can replace Samsung Bloated CrapWiz with Stock Android 4.3, no custom rom, a factory Android ROM).

Why is apple losing hard?:

  1. - Siri momentum passed away, Google Services eaten Siri, amazing precise and versatile, also most features are supported OFFLINE.
  2. - GESTURES: Typing text using SWYPE (SWIFTKEY) on an Android is 4X FASTER AND PRECISE THAN iOS Tapping, IS BY FAR THE DEAL BREAKER ON ANDROID DEVICES, other gestures maybe not as useful, who cares.
  3. - CAMERA: GALAXY S4 have the best OVERALL camera, ANDROID OFFERS AS STOCK: PHOTOSPHERE (a sort or VR) and Samsung offer modes as DRAMASHOT (Amazing), I have compared HTC ONE camera and has an slight better LowLigth performance but overall quality is best on the S4, not big deal either.
  4. - Innovation: If you're current with android you are aware that Android was First with:

    • LOCK SCREEN NOTIFICATIONS, SWITCHES (iOS 7 just getting current).
    • LIVE WALLPAPERS (also the one with "3D" move effect was on android near a year before than sowed on iOS7).
    • NFC by far more useful and SECURE than PASSBOOK (BTW you can USE Passbook's cards on android, but no NFC on iOS), NFC received more support from the industry than PASSBOOK.
    • ANTI-VIRUS is an GIMMICK (antivirus publisher are not restricted on Android as on iOS, they sell their product thru intimidation, no real danger), Android really dont need an antivirus is as safe as any other Linux Distro (there are antivirus on linux too, what seems a joke, but paranoid people pays for it, while on the AppStore Antivirus are not approved).
    • DEDICATED BACK BUTTON: you can return on your history by pressing the back button, or return to your previous APP, etc a powerful but intuitive method to return to the task you previously started, on iOS you need to tap home, then open again your app, or double tap and search your previous app and then switch, this alone SAVES A LOT OF TIME ITERACTIG WITH MULTIPLE TASK, Obviously Adroid Multitask is 2 Year Away iOS7 (from Android 4, Android has screen capture on task switch, iOS7 just getting current here).
    • WIDGETS/PERSONALIZATION from the beggining yoy can add widgets with a lot of feature to personalize your phone's iteration. iOS still a missing feature.

FINALLY: DIVERSITY (is not the same to say 'fragmentation') you have ANDROID Devices for everybody no matter if somebody has big or small hands, or have 20:20 vision accuracy, or just like an bigger screen because he wants, Android Users DON'T NEED TO BEING ADAPTED TO THEIR PHONES SIZES, THEY CAN CHOOSE AN PHONE WITH RIGTH SIZES TO THEY NEEDS.

People with BIG hands is uncomfortable with iPhone's keyboard (some android devices also have physical kbd), but can buy an Galaxy Note and star using SWYPE for texting as fas as on an PC, imposible on iPhone.

NOW YOU UNDERSTAND WHY 80% of the SMARTPHONES ARE ANDROIDs?

Apple Still have an Big advantage on Tablets, Android has no rival against iPads, only Android advantage there is the "unsupported" hability to open pages with legacy Flash content.

iOS has a real advantage (but no deal breaker) is AirPrint works 1000% better than any android equivalent "patch" (android has no official printing API, what is an shame since Linux's CUPs is by far the best printing API).

Also AirPlay works better OS integration is perfect, buts is an Apple-only Std, I can play content with my android on most DLNA SmartTV w/o an AppleTV, while not as polite as airplay its an deal breaker because DLNA is much more common on hotels and conference rooms than AirPlay (appletv), Apple must support DLNA as AirPlay target.

How is the iPhone 5S awesome? exactly like the 5 except for fingerprint sensor and better rear camera lol we've waited a year for this ****??!?!?

while i definitely agree with you, my iphone 4 (and now currently, my iphone 5) have been my primary camera on tons of trips i've taken. because of this, for users like me, the "better camera" on the 5s is worth the upgrade.

having said this, i have a 64gb iphone 5 and will stick with it until the 6 comes out :D:D:D

Are we saying the Finger print scanner will also be used for iTunes password and not just unlocking the device?
For sure. I don't know if it will be used for unlocking the device, but Apple ID authentication is a given. Why would Apple build in a fingerprint sensor and not use it to replace annoying password entering?

I find it QUITE comical when I see people on here talking about their S4 or other ANDROID device. What are you trying to achieve by talking about your non-Apple device on an Apple forum? Do you have such a huge ego that you think you are some Android God, joining this site to convert people?

Considering what I just said, and how those of you Android users like to be off subject...Anyone on here want to talk about bears? How about coffee?

As phone I use an Android SGS4GPE , I still use an iPad and a Mac Book Pro.

So you would rather everyone think exactly the same, right? Comparing and contrasting offerings from different manufacturers makes you mad? Apple's catch phrase has always been "Think Different", but if you express any desire for something different from what Apple offers, you get upset?

Sad.

This upgrade is not for the iPhone 5 owners, it's for the iPhone 4S owners.

I'm a 4S owner and I'm not exactly thrilled about the expected features. The only reason I'll most likely upgrade is the 128GB storage.
