Yeah, because we're still in teasing mode. ;)

You should launch soon, or there will be so many widget sites that it will be harder to make an impression on the market.

I agree.

Of course, don't rush it like, ahem, Apple did with Tiger. Take the time if you need it since you only get once chance at a first impression.

But the number of widgets are multiplying by the day...and the early bird gets the worm.

I certainly hope the delay isn't because they have a lot of pretty pictures but no working widgets...

I can assure you that we have several pretty complete, working, highly animated, kickass widgets. However, the reason why we're holding the launch is because of some complications involving one of the staff members. But regardless, we're continuing to work hard on our widgets, so when we launch, we'll have much more to show. And since you guys reminded me, I'll put a more informative explanation on the site.

You guys need to create a nice-looking widget that checks movie times, maybe even purchases them through Fandango...

That would be awesome. I'd be willing to pay money for that.

Also I would like to get an eBay sellers widget.

yes, jesus --- that is the widget I am most dying for. Move showtime websites are all really cumbersome. That was the only thing I used Sherlock for on a regular basis.

This is what pyru posted at MacNN where he posts more regularly than here

Basically we may be holding the widgets for a future release with a high-profile Mac software company. Which means that you may not be able to use our shown widgets for some time, though it also means that with some added motivation on our parts, when these are released, they will be accompanied by many more really slick widgets.

And the site launch, in part due to this, is going to be delayed by a week or two.

If that's a legitimate excuse then I'm fine with it. As long as the widgets come out sometime soon ...

I'd like to apologize for the delay, and confirm that yep, we'll really launch this time. :D Hope you guys come!

pryu: I guess you can issue a press release that your widgets are already compatible with next year's Intel-based Macintoshes (since no changes are required)!

Question?

Has anyone made a reverse phone directory like they had in Watson? I saw widget for one in germany I think, but what about for the US? It would be nice to have a widget for this.....
