iSay, this sounds suspiciously like Staples' "Easy Button"...

iLike it!

It's nothing like the Easy Button... For the Easy Button makes it easy, the iButton make it... "i"

How long do we reckon until the show's up on quicktime's page? I'd much rather watch the thing from the start on video :) Is it liable to be near straight after or are we talking days?
In the past, the keynotes have been up within hours :)

What other websites offer live coverage? In the past server overload has crippled Macrumors (and many others). Anyone know what site has the best likely hood of being able to post updates without getting severely crippled? Engadget maybe?

OK MR's is going to be my primary site but who else is doing live coverage. God forbid the reporting system crashes  I want at least a backup or three. :D

You must be crazy!

sweeeet!!! I'm in english, sneaking on my treo! I should be reading, but with 2 hours left for the keynote, how could I?

I EVEN FORGOT THAT TODAY IS ME AND MY GIRLFRIENDS YEAR AND 8 MONTH ANNIVERSARY!
:)
 I think you'll be ok....since you may be the only person who celebrates a 1yr. 8 month. At this rate you a probably buying her %^$& every month....You'll never be able to afford a new mac.

It times like these that you have to decide which is more important

Girlfriend v. Mac

I'm confident you'll make the right desicion.:D

Reality Bites (the Apple)

Why do I have a big Physiology semifinal tomorrow? Why?!?
Oh well, I'll be taking a peek from time to time here...

I love this day! Even if I get a little disappointed, it's still so much fun. The anticipation, the suspense. Does the PC world have anything like this?

Sure. There are a few "events" that are general PC events like last weeks CES. If you are talking about events that get PC users in a flip about their computer OEM of choice. No because most PC users don't give a flip. And aren't desperate like Mac users are. There is also the fact that there are very few secrets in the PC world. Most companies don’t play the whole Apple cloak and dagger crap.

There won't be one. :(

Haha, that was Safari going bezerk! :p I meant to say:

I know there won't be a live one, but they usu. stream them afterwards, where will THAT one be

So how does this work again if you don't have IRC? The front page gets live updates and then like the past we have a thread open where we discuss whats happening??

Who provides the IRC/front page updates anyway? Just curious

Just been told I have to babysit my grandson in 20 minutes until 1830 GMT and they don't have a computer of any kind!

Around a half an hour or so the front page. www.macrumors.com will go to a low bandwidth page. Every? I think 5 minutes the thing will auto update. You DO NOT need to refresh.

1 hour, 46 minutes until the Macworld Keynote.

And I just got booked for a meeting at the same time - don't these people know I have priorities - I'm thinking new product Tuesdays should be treated like religious holidays, errr at least we should get sparklers or something.

And then is there one dedicated discussion thread in the forum?

The forum is locked for that time. Don't want to crash MR's do you? :D  More accurately you don't want to crash the forums since they are on a sep server. Expect the load on the forums to start hitting it soon. Timeouts may be in order very soon. :( We'll see how good Arn's new hardware is, :D

If Steve presents nothing but new iPods, would you be just a "little disappointed"? ;)
