The forum is locked for that time. Don't want to crash MR's do you? :D

I oculd have sworn that back in the summer when the INTEL switch was announced that there was one screen with the updates and another one where we were chatting with each other.

Or was that on IRC? Is there a web client for IRC? I am on a guest machine and can't download anything

I'll be on a damn train... Let's see if WAP works though lol

EDIT: I've got a mobile phone which uses GPRS, so is there any way I'll be able to read an irc or macrumors through it? The train sadly won't have WiFi, so what do I do?

If you have a fairly recent phone you should be able to download the Java based Opera Mini, this allows you to view traditional web pages on a WAP phone.

You then need to point your wap browser on your mobile to http://mini.opera.com. This will then download the Java based app to your phone. I've tried it on my Motorola PEBL and it works pretty well.

You can find out more info at http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/operamini/

Hope this helps.

Is ti the arstechnica link because that one isn't working for me. Can someone post directions?

d'oh. Java is disabled at work. you guys better post a blow by blow on these forums for me. :D

They have an unnecessarily complicated AJAX system setup for those deprived of Java.

Does anybody know how long it'll take before Apple posts up a web stream of Steve's Macworld keynote?

My guess is that it hasn't been enabled yet. When it does, I'm assuming that forums will go offline, too.

Im surprised they havent already, with the way the traffic is spiking by this point...

It's typically noon-ish, but I seem to recall it taking much longer for one of the recent ones.

I am hoping after our 2 year we can cut it down to every 6 months...save me money...

Not only that, it takes almost a week to get decent bandwidth to watch the stream. Because everybody is trying to watch it at the same time.
