sweeeet!!! I'm in english, sneaking on my treo! I should be reading, but with 2 hours left for the keynote, how could I?

I EVEN FORGOT THAT TODAY IS ME AND MY GIRLFRIENDS YEAR AND 8 MONTH ANNIVERSARY!

whooops.
:)

Uh, if your girlfriend expects you to actually celebrate a monthly anniversary then it may be time to ditch her. That's some seriously high maintenance.

As a side note, if you, as the male, are trying to celebrate it, you might just drive her away with that insanity.

Not only that, it takes almost a week to get decent bandwidth to watch the stream. Because everybody is trying to watch it at the same time.

Ive never had a problem with the stream in the past....

.Mac already down

I did not have time to check the rest of the thread, so please excuse me if this is has already been said, but .Mac is already down for "maintenance".

Best regards.

How do you figure it's unnecessary?

I personally hate AJAX. the AX is completely unnecessary. I prefer JSON with Asynchronous Javascript HTTP Requests.

XML Version:

<reply>
<user_id>200</user_id>
<subject>Some subject</subject>
</reply>

JSON:

{"reply" : {"user_id" : 200, "subject" : "Some subject"}}

As you can see, it's far lighter but still allows for all of the functionality. Plus, it is faster and easier for javascript to parse.

Month Anniversaries are tolerable only up until the first year. After wich a normal yearly anniversary will have to suffice. Otherwise dump that broad fast. Nothing you ever do will satisfy her. :rolleyes:

I DO have Java enabled on this browser but still only see that stupid coffee cup. No logun screen

Since Java isn't working, what is this AJAX thing? And I do NOT need Java to see the front page updates that refresh automatically right?

Sorry for all the questions, I've waited 6 months for this keynote and now at the last minute I can't figure out how to watch it

My MRChat won't connect. I keep getting

Looking up echo.krono.net...
Connecting to echo.krono.net...
Operation timed out

Are the channels full already? Or, is my network blocking my access or some such?

When they enable it, event coverage will appear on the homepage of macrumorslive.com.

I follow the 1, 3, 6, 12 month plan the first year. Then yearly...

Are you using a Mac ?

If so you are in need of updating your java platform

No, I'm on a PX running XP at q friends house. Kinda wierd watching a keynote on a PC :)

It's quite fun to keep an eye on the currently active user numbers, see if we reach a new record (Most users ever online was 3,367, 10-12-2005) :p There's currently over 2,000 guests on line :eek:
