I love the interface.

he just previewed blades of glory

then he rented it, it started downloading, and within seconds it is playing

Technicalities

I wonder if it's just a a matter of paying in dollars, and still being able to download the streams or will they filter the IP to check the country.
(Unfortunately hulu.com the lame corporate response to youtube does that so I can't use that)

I reckon we'll get a 500gb and 1tb option of the Apple Tv take 2 in line with the airport extreme

If they can fit it into that they can do same with Apple Tv

there is also a scrolling coverflow like interface when you are browsing by genre

i don't know how i feel about the 24 hours to watch thing... seems way too short.

Movies are generally only about 2 hours, so it seems plenty to me. Just don't start watching it until you have the time to see it through. I like the 30 day period before it expires, so if you don't watch it today, you can keep it to next week or whenever.

Why the hell does the US always get everything first, for God's sake it annoys me.

It could be licensing and/or distribution issues. The studios control it in the US, so it might be easiest for Apple to sign a deal with them to launch there, first.

If Apple and the studios they need to make separate deals with the international distributors, that will likely take extra time.

Library HD titles are the same $3.99. Its the newer titles that are $4.99. Its reasonable IMO
