I've been underwhelmed so far. The MacPro update was more exciting.

I was expecting at least a memory upgrade for the iphone.

Let's hope the 4th item is a new ultrathin.

Maybe. But Jobs doesn't introduce every new update -- like the Mac Pro updates. If the displays are simply updated with a camera, I'm not sure he'd spend time talking about it.

They're free on everything else, and after all, stocks and weather are just little widgets.

I guess they feel that it is new features the iPod Touch did not originally have.

The iPhone update is just new functionality added to existing features...

it's because iPhone revenue is recognised over 18-24 months because of thecontracts and revenue sharing, and because of this, apple can get out of charging users for the update.

It's that crummy sox (sarbane oxley) legislation.
