Magazine Apps Appearing In Newsstand for iOS 5 Beta Users

For those who can't un-grey out the button, try quitting newsstand (or all apps), go to settings, log out and in again with your iTunes Store account and reboot. That worked for me. :)

For those of you who are very anxious to access Newsstand but are unsuccessful, it isn't very exciting just yet. The screenshots that have been posted on this forum represent all that is available right now. It will probably be much better tomorrow and best of all it will definitely work, so don't stress if you can't get to it now.
 
I would LOVE if some of the 3D Magazines, and Corel Painter magazines that are UK only would make their way in to the app store....

I can dream can't I?

(Everyone has to Admit the UK has MUCH better magazines than we do!)
 
Looks like there's still changes being made.

Did a search in the AppStore and a new category showed up named "Newspapers and Magazines" and 2 minutes later it changed to "Newsstand"

Must be working overtime :)
 
Signing into my US account enabled it. Signing back into my UK one disabled it again. So it must be US only for now.

I just want to see it available. I have a Wired sub which I've seen people say the digital copy is free? It would be nice to have them available, even if I don't use them. I don't want to reboot my phone because the last time I did, my re-jailbreak didn't work and I got stuck staying up an extra hour re-doing the thing... lol.
 
I am just waiting for Variety and Hollywood Reporter to be included in Newstand.
 
Am I under the right impression that my current (and already paid) subscriptions will transfer without problems into the new Newsstand system? (At least of the publishers participating...) Thanks!
 
There are only 7 items available in the UK and the only newspaper is the New York Times.

What a load of crap.
 
T3 is now in the Newsstand...

But I'm confused...

1 Year sub = £23.99 = £1.99 an issue (12 issues a year correct?)
Individual issue = £1.49 (£17.88 a year) :confused:
 
Some of the US magazines that are in people's screenshots don't show up in the Newsstand store section, at least for me -- for instance a number of screenshots floating around have a GQ USA issue in them (the current one), but GQ isn't in the Newsstand section of the App Store (I have a paper subscription, I've never bothered to get the app before... actually, oddly, searching for GQ in the main app store also only finds foreign editions and not the US app...). Any ideas?
