The new Magic Trackpad is not just another new product. It creates a new dimension and experience for you to move your Cursor and interact with your Mac. When we started designing the new Magic Trackpad, We asked to ourselves a Simple Question, "How do we move something outside and something else moves inside in our Mac?" Our Engineers at Apple worked day and night to fix this problem that's always been there. And here it is, The New Magic Trackpad. Available in 4 colors; Space Grey, Silver, Gold and RoseGold. Starts at just 500$.

One wireless keyboard with a "magic" numpad and the other missing buttons please. And the mouse could be designed to fit a grown mans palm. All the versions so far are for toddlers only.

Someone had mentioned it, batteries..... I was prepared to buy an Apple, wired keyboard and mouse, until I saw one, then asked, the mouse that comes with that keyboard, it is the old ball one (to scroll) that never worked? Yes. so I stayed with the wireless keyboard, mouse.
You would think for Desktops, (well I do) they would have a wired set, with the same functions as the wireless. And after I went out and bought Duracell batteries that don't work, I then went back to the Apple store to buy their charger.... Which is still annoying. So I'm with the other battery people, sell a wired keyboard and mouse with the same functions as the wireless, and I would buy one.

I totally agree on this issue, i would make the purchase too! On the other hand, its true that im waiting for the hardware update (back lit buttons etc.) but i would really appreciate it if the backlit buttons could be implemented ASAP!

Apologies if I've missed something but, looks like they're on sale already in the UK:

No major changes but they're now rechargeable.
Hi Joel, You asked "if you missed anything", yep, Zoran and I were talking about a WIRED mouse/keyboard with the same functions as the Magic Mouse.... Zoran also said, would like back lit buttons for the keyboard.
I'm so tired of batteries for a desktop iMac, other Macs (wireless) sure, but I would buy a WIRED mouse/keyboard for my desktop in a heartbeat. :)
I do understand cutting the wires, but (I'm repeating myself here) give me wired and NOT that stupid ball on the mouse, and I would buy one.

You can still buy the wired keyboard and mouse. I know you mentioned the scroll ball on the Apple Mouse, and I agree that thing is trash, but you can use any other USB mouse strung off the USB port on the side, and as an added bonus you get the 10 key. I have this setup with a logitech wireless mouse on my Mac Pro as well as on my in-laws 08 24 inch iMac (but they have the small wired KB).

No I do not. My desk is strewn with cables among other things. Try as I might to get most of them out of the way it never happens completely.
It cant be that bad. Now you got me curious... if you want post a pic of your desk and maybe users can help you out :)
