As of 4pm, the Austin Domain store had not had any for sale, but expects them
in a few days. Probably so OS X 10.6.2 can be released with the software the new magic's require for additional functions.

In playing with one on an iMac, I was a little disappointed in how it scrolled.
Wasn't that smooth.

Nothing in the two Sacramento stores either....they all said by last Friday and now they are saying by months end.
I just spoke with the apple store arden and the rep said that they expect to have them in stock by the end of november. I corrected him by saying you mean end of october right? and he said no they have told us the end of november. I cant believe that it would take this long to manufacture the product. Maybe they are waiting for the 10.6.2 update to come out. but i doubt it since people have already received shipments from the apple store online. It comes with a mouse software update CD. I ordered mine just now.

I don't think anyone has received their Magic Mouse from the online Apple store. I ordered mine the first few minutes they were available, and it still hasn't shipped. I've also been lurking around a few threads of people in the same position as me, and they have not had any change to their shipping status, let alone received it yet.

The only people that have them are those who purchased their new iMacs.

Nothing in the bay area and I think we might have to wait until friday

yep, that is what i've gathered as well.

Waiting for 10.6.2

A rep at the Applestore in Toronto told me this morning that Apple is holding off on the deliveries of the Magic Mouse until the next firmware upgrade, saying that the new iMac can receive the functionality with a minor Software Update. However, older machines will need 10.6.2. Makes sense and I hope that means it is coming soon.

Gah that's frustrating. I'm trying to redesign my workspace, and I ordered the newest generation apple wireless keyboard from Amazon and I'd assume it's the same story as with the Magic Mouse. On their site it's still in a pre-release state. At least my MX Revolution should be coming in tomorrow...

Just release the update, Apple!

Just played around a bit with the new Magic Mouse in a local store here in Switzerland and it's really awkward. Ergonomics are catastrophic and I can't see myself using this fashion accessory on a daily basis.

Wish I hadn't been so fast in selling my Mighty Mouse :(

i've used the new mouse twice now in the store and i like it. i never use the buttons on the side of the mighty mouse as i think they're awkward as hell to use. and the scroll button gets mucked up every few months and requires cleaning. doing away with that button alone is enough to make me want to get this new mouse. i also don't find the new mouse to be uncomfortable to use or have any skin pinching issues like some claim to have had here.

if they were for sale today in the store i'd already be using it.

Anyone know if the London regent st store has them? I've tried calling three times and just end up on hold.

Tysons Corner does not have them for sale...theyre just on dispay with the imacs...nowhere in DC area have any

Well, I called around WI and got the same answer at each store... expect them the end of next week, if not later. There has been no changes to the status of the online order, either.

I'm a little disappointed because my MX Revolution just kicked the bucket, and I really don't want to have to buy an "interim" mouse, but it's seriously affecting my productivity.

They are NOT on sale in Manhattan yet. If the flagship 5th Ave store doesn't have them yet, doubt anyone else will. Their "Shipping 5-7 business days" claim is good until this Thursday, which means by this Friday in stores hopefully.

Hopefully by Friday then.. thanks for the info !

Nothing as of yet at the store in San Francisco; I'm hoping they'll be available by the end of the week.
