Just doesn't make sense...
They have the product for the new iMacs.
Other new hardware has started to show up, including the new part # Time Capsule, new systems etc.
There is a reason, unrelated to logistics, for these not being available, and shipping times out 7 days via the online store.
I am guessing it's software related. But I can't think it's about being able to deliver a box to a store.
My guess is they have them at store locations now, but they are under embargo for some reason.
Aside from that, it looks very cool. But if you look at Apple mice in retrospect, they've had some poor products. Maybe this is different.
Having toyed with one slightly at the store, my experience is that on a slick surface, multitouch gestures are more likely to move the mouse rather than express the gesture on the surface.

Mine still shows "Not yet shipped" (ordered on the 20th), but I called earlier this evening and the automated system said "Prepared for shipment". So, confused, I spoke with a representative, and their status also said "Not yet shipped".
Still confused, but I'm guessing one system hadn't updated the other. My earliest delivery date is still today, the 28th. I figure there's at least a chance to see it before the weekend.

Yeah I did the automated order status too and instead of delivers Oct. 28th -Nov. 3rd it will now ship between those dates.
I'm guessing most stores will have them by Friday at latest, Thursday for most, and maybe a few today, but I'm not counting on it.

The Apple Store at Southpoint Mall in Durham, NC has them. They are awesome.

I just called the Genius Bar there and they said they have not come in. Did you buy one by itself or with an iMac? They are only being shipped with iMac's to the stores at this time until a software update is released, based on the Genius feedback. You can see demo's in the store, but that is it.
Figures.... I asked a guy there last saturday when I was looking for bluetooth keyboard and he said order online and it will come faster than the store...
So I ordered online and mine shipped today and will be here on friday!!!
I'm with Safari King. The fact is both Crabtree and Southpoint have not gotten any mice in to sell. They're in the iMacs but there aren't any to sell without an iMac. They expect them later this week. This is as of this morning.
I was at the Tysons (VA) store this afternoon and they did not yet have any available for sale but I sure had fun playing with the ones hooked up to the new iMacs! Gorgeous to look at, elegant as heck and comfortable and functional to use. I'll be getting one....
After 25 total minutes on hold, all of the Apple stores in my area (Dallas, TX) said nothing yet, 5-7 days they presumed. Which I assume they are getting that number from the online orders, so I doubt it is correct.
