I recently purchased a Magic Trackpad to use with my 2011 iMac. This device looks like a good deal.

You lot are gonna love me - if you like the wand but not the price

Saw product here in Portugal for 34 Euros. Thought very steep and even more so now that I just read its plastic.

I have just made one for next to nothing in 10 minutes!

In Europe we use 'electrical conduit' Made of plastic, it comes in 2 to 3 metre lengths and in various diameters - 10mm to 20mm and we lay it in house walls and floors and then feed electrical cable thru it.

I cut off a length of about 40cm of 20mm conduit then sliced it lengthways and it slid on fine. Not easy to cut lengthways, I used a saw and a knife but for a quick - will- it - work job, its ok.

Take some time and you'd get a good item that you could spray etc once cut.
the click still works on trackpad.

Bluefin connects your Apple Wireless Keyboard + Magic Trackpad

The Bluefin from MeshWe is similar to the Magic Wand, but lets you use the click feature of the trackpad. This is the best setup I've come across for controlling a mac mini home theater. The idea of being able to have full use of the keyboard and trackpad together either at your desk or on your lap is pretty sweet.

The bluefin seems to be a much superior product especially if you use the full depress-to-click, however its even more expensive than the Magicwand.

I instead chose to build my own connection out of some sticky tape and a piece of plastic from a DVD case to add rigidity. It looks ugly underneath but it doesn't matter because I can't see any of it when using it and it does the job well.

Thanks for this. Much better than using the little beam to connect.

I used an old iTunes gift card and that seems to have done the trick.

Extended Keyboard & Magic Trackpad

I presume there's nothing that does the same for the wired extended keyboard and the Magic Trackpad? It would be nice to have them connected, but I don't want to give up the extended keyboard for the wireless keyboard in order to organize the keyboard & trackpad. With Mountain Lion on the horizon and more and more gestures coming, I'd like to have the trackpad handy...but I don't want to give up my trackball. Being ambidextrous I could have one on each side of the keyboard. I guess I'll just lay them out w/o a holder. Oh well.
