Is there any way to reduce the shipping costs? The shipping costs to the east coast is almost the same cost as the case.

Without a doubt, it's the best value out there. The price point should be closer to $30, imho.

Yeah I just wanted a simple case. Some of the guy on here are buying cases that make the iPhone not even look like a phone for $40-60.

Not that I know of. I purchased the Field Case last week and looked for a discount code but never found one.

Just think of it as a $20 case with free shipping and you're STILL getting a steal :)

A bit of background on this project for those who care: Magpul Industries Corp. was founded in 1999 by a former Reconnaissance Marine named Richard Fitzpatrick, who sought to resolve some of the equipment shortcomings he experienced while in the Marine Corps. The company has since become one of the industry leaders in the design and manufacture of weapon parts/accessories for military, law enforcement, and civilian shooters. The bulk of our product line consists of injection molded polymer products, most of which are far more complex than an iPhone case. My personal job is military/international sales & business development.

Two years ago when the company decided to issue iPhones to the staff, we were all frustrated by the poor quality and high price of the case offerings at the major retail outlets, so we decided to make our own. Injection molding is our specialty, so we know what a product is truly worth. Compare, for example, the Magpul PMAG - a 30-round polymer magazine for the AR15/M16. The PMAG consists of a body, floorplate, and snap cover made from a reinforced polymer, a lock plate and follower made from a self-lubricating polymer, and a stainless steel spring. One product consisting of 5 polymer parts and 1 steel part, with an MSRP of $14.95. Oh, and 100% of the design, manufacturing, and assembly is done in the United States.

We know how much injection molded cases cost to make...not much. You will never hear anyone from our company slander another brand for making money - that is capitalism, and good for them - but for those of us know manufacturing, it was insulting to pay $25 - $35 or more for a case that wasn't even worth as much as the packaging it came in. I think many here will understand and appreciate this sentiment. I don't know what the future holds as far as Magpul iPhone or other cases, but value for money is one of our core foundations. Our current cases are designed and manufactured in the U.S.A., and worth every penny of $9.95 compared to most other retail offerings. If you disagree, we will refund your money no questions asked.

I just ordered one of your new magpul field cases today (along with 2-30 round p mags, foregrip, and gen2 sites for the AR.) :D

Anyone interested in these cases make sure you check out their newest case called the field case. It looks like it provides more protection than the executive and addresses the silent switch location for the 4s and flash cut out. I'll post pics when it comes in.

Here is a review I found:

How did you search locally? I did a google search and it didn't give me an option to search local stores (unless that's only because none of the local stores near me carry it).

I just ordered a Flat Dark Earth Field Case for my White 4s. Thanks to everyone for the information within this thread!

I just got the two executive field cases I ordered from dstactical.com (I live in Canada.) I got one orange and one black case.

I am replacing an incase snap case, which I got through the free case program. The incase was fine, but not perfect. It looks great, because it's very slim and revealing. The tradeoff with the slim design is that it's hard on the hands. I found it was a bit uncomfortable to hold for long periods, because it doesn't pad the somewhat sharp edge of the iphone. I needed to replace the case anyway, though, because it cracked and broke a bit.

The magpul feels great so far. It fits perfectly on my iPhone 4. I'm very pleased with how it looks- it's much sleeker than I expected. Based on the internet photos, I expected it to look a bit utilitarian, but it's just fine, especially from the front. My only minor complaint is that the buttons are a bit stiff, especially the power button. Maybe it will loosen up over time.

I want to add that ordering from dstactical.com was a fantastic experience. No hassles and fast shipping.

I'm going to get one just because it's magpul. Probably won't use it a whole lot other than taking it for qualifying days at work. I just absolutely love magpul products. This case just fits in with everything else they make, very high quality for dirt cheap prices. Great company and American made to boot.

I love these

My wife did a search for Magpul cases and a list of stores came up. First place she called had them in stock.

You can also try clicking on places tab when you search google.com. That usually brings up local places as well that carry magpul

I got mine today and I love it. It fits well, feels nice and smooth, and at the same time, it has a nice grippy feel.

Fits the 4s well? I keep reading where it may need to be trimmed near the silent switch

Want to pull the trigger on this case today, but just wanted to confirm a couple quick questions first:

1) Does the updated/newer version still cause any flash issues?

2) Have read it has a very slight lip and lay-on-table design which I want. Just want to confirm the phone does not rest on the glass when face down.

Thanks!

Excited that this might hopefully be the case for me.

No flash issues. The lip is raised so the glass does not touch the surface it is set on.
