That’s nice. I’m still not dropping 150 bucks plus taxes on one. And yes I include the 20 dollar charging block because it is required to get full speed charging out of this thing because of Apple’s walled garden approach to everything now extending to chargers apparently.

It’s pricey sure. But so are the phones? I mean a fully loaded iPhone 12 Pro is $1500 USD. 129.00 is less than 1/10th the cost of the phone. You guys are using pricing metrics based on prices that have been gone for a few years now.

Samsung has been charging $89.00 for their fast Qi wireless charging stands (which only hold one phone and aren’t nearly as travel friendly) for years now. (Since the s5 or s6).

Im not saying it’s a good price. But it is priced to market standards for a branded accessory.

I will never understand apples pricing - £40 for the new MagSafe charger. £75 for the Apple Watch magnetic dock. = £115 in total. This thing basically ties the 2 together and they charge £129 🤦🏽‍♂️
The UK price being same as USD is also another blow

Customers like me are to blame though as no doubt I’ll end up buying this for the convenience and function and in turn apple win again 😤.

I wonder if apple has started pricing products (at least not flagship products) with an intention of frequently putting them on sale in future. Looking at how quickly we have a sale on watch se, and the number of price drops we have had on AirPods, I wouldn’t be surprised.

The fact that it doesn’t come with usb-c and no wall charger is just offensive. What are you supposed to do? Charge two devices with the 5W charger Apple claims we have so many laying around?

In fact, even the design looks like something you would find on WISH for 10 bucks and most importantly, that white color doesn’t go with anything in my bedroom!

HomePod mini - 99$ !
charger - 129$ !

🤷‍♂️

even better

HomePod Mini - 99$
iPhone Case - 149 EUR
