you would need to test this on the actual phone, it's different material remember

Well that is not good! @vengapat9 did your case come with mic holes at the bottom :)

I was charging my 11 Pro via my MagSafe charger in a Product Red 12 MagSafe case. My Pro was down to 5% and I charged it up to 85%. That took a few hours on my 11 Pro charging base. Fortunately it left no such marks on my case.

We shall have to wait and see how other people’s cases do after the phones are delivered.

Makes sense. This is why Apple put the ring of white on their clear cases because its going to scratch the hell out of it.

I do wonder if over time this will scratch the back of the phone. I don't typcally use cases and hope it doesn't permanently scratch the back of it.

Ring or not, that case won't look that clean a month from now.

I love Silicone cases but these are a greasy, smudgy, chippy mess and not a case you get for long-term perfectly maintained looks. (Personally, Apple cases are so plain that I like the ring)

I have a XS Max in a white silicone case. 2 years now. Still white and clean. I just put a chip in it two days ago when I forced my phone back in wrong after cleaning it.

Other than that, no issues.

I have a feeling it’s only so long before third parties come out with better MagSafe style cases and cheaper but better chargers. A firm contact was always going to mark a case like this.
