Mail Notification Echo

I get this constantly in 8.1, I have 2 exchange accounts running. Pisses me off. I need to go break something.

Yeah this is horrible.

Mostly because I'm used to feeling one vibration for email and 2 for texts.

Now I feel 2 for both.

Confusing.

I believe that this is finally actually really fixed in iOS 8.2 beta 1. I thought it was fixed before and discovered it wasn't, but this time it's been more than 20 hours since I installed 8.2 and I haven't had a single double notification. I think Apple may have finally taken care of it.

God I hope this is true. I wonder when 8.2 will come out. Do you think they are going to wait all the way until 2015 to launch 8.2 to coincide with with Apple Watch launch?

Unfortunately I think it's pretty likely that 8.2 won't come out until spring. There may be a 8.1.2 before that, but no guarantee it's fixed there.

In addition to sometimes getting the echo, I also intermittently had the opposite situation, wherein there were no sounds for email delivery in iOS 8 thru iOS 8.1. Upgraded to iOS 8.1.1 on Monday evening and haven't had either problem since (echo or silence.) Fingers crossed.

Hope it's finally fixed in 8.2. As others mentioned, I am used to 1 buz for mail and two for messages.

It's gone in 8.2 beta 1 as far as I can tell.
