MacRumors is exactly the sort of website where readers get so excited about an upcoming product that they will print out paper mockups to see how it feels in hand. Unquestionably.

It is pretty clear from the reactions on this very same thread that this is not true. Unquestionably.

The article ain't even worth putting on page 10. A print out for the iPad is news, seriously?

and you still aren't getting it. read the comments - useless, lame article.

"how it feels in hand". REALLY? so the paper printout will weigh 1.5 pounds and have a smooth aluminum/glass finish? the more u defend the article the dumber it appears. and as far as getting a "sense of scale", a ruler would be quite sufficient. sheesh.

Great job, btw. I will be on the lookout for new Macbooks! How many are you sending and how do you want me to get my address to you? :)

Silly consumer, they're coming to an Apple store near you!

I'd give a nickel to have the "verified", as for Twitter, for you Steve.

How's the new liver working out for you? I bet you're hitting the bottle pretty good about now.

My liver used to run on Windows.......but now its much better:apple:, thank you for asking

Nerds Ahoy! Calm down!

Attention nerds. If you -- like me -- are reading a website about RUMORS dealing with apple products, how is it you think this article is beneath you? It's funny and...it's just funny. Awesome. Isn't that enough? This isn't the Times! It's Macrumors -- a place where mac geeks like me and you come in the hopes of getting a geeky fix when there's no real mac news out there -- just rumors. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to see if my printer can handle this...

Does the fun ever end?

Looks like this has provided both the haters and the rest of us with many more hours of entertainment than the artist could ever have imagined.
So either way we're all winners (or is that whingers?)

Good enough for a a bit of fun on a saturday afternoon, good enough for developers to use for a sense of scale and as an aid to decision-making, good enough for The Wall Street Journal!! to report on! http://onespot.wsj.com/gadgets/2010/02/06/a/576432013-make-your-own-paper-ipad/

Thanks Arn ;)
