Omg lol, so it's a waste of time being able to delete stock apps then...

Yes and no. It's a waste if you're wanting it to be a default app workaround but not if you have absolutely no use for the Home, Podcast, Watch, Calculator, iTunes Store, Notes, Videos app etc.

I think this may be a feature in 10.2/10.2

If you don't have that app installed it will ask you to install something like that app
That reminds me that from now on, iOS and macOS can have the same version number (though OS X 10.1 through 10.4 are mainly of academic interest now).

Why didn't Apple talk about this? Why did they spend so much time on useless emoji?
Probably because "And now, in the new iOS 10, you can remove all of those useless native Apple apps that you never open, and just take up space!" wouldn't go over too well with the Board. Glad to see this is a feature, though.

Yeah you're right, but still... For those apps that are commonly linked to throughout the OS Apple should allow the user to reassign an alternative app to act as default, it's not hard, jailbreak tweaks were able to accomplish this years ago!

Are deleted stock apps removed from share sheets also? For example if you delete Notes App is it also removed from the Safari share sheet etc?

It does remove them. I tried to share something and Notes was gone.

Wow.

What was the point of deleting them, again?
Because people complained about them being there. Honestly, it's 1,000,000x better than shoving them in a folder.

yes and not much. total are less than 150 mb according to Apple.
meh, i save more by deleting few minutes worth of videos, so it's more for the aesthethic fuss of not having useless icons on the front page!
well, thanks anyway! :)
