Well, I'm 2 for 2 in the Final Four at the moment. If Uconn and Nova both get through tomorrow, you folks will have your work cut out for you in our pool. :p

I've now lost 3 / final four so I would declare myself out more or less ... after learning for all that time when I knew it didn't matter.

I am very displeased, Well its on to baseball season since the Tournament is over.

It seemed to me that GMU outplayed Uconn in just about every aspect of the game. Their floor spacing was great -- they're so hard to defend in the post, and if you double, they make the right pass.

3 smart, talented seniors who can log long minutes will take you a long way.

If Villanova goes to the championship game, my bracket is busted!

Wow just wow UConn.
Congrats to 3 of the final four. 'Nova might as well go, too. Mind opening experiences can be both wonderful and painful. :)
P.S. This has been fun, though. Hope we can go again, next year.

Whelp, looks like you're the only one still alive in the brackets. Let me be the first to congratulate thedude110. Nice job with staying with LSU and UCLA. At this point, it's anyone's guess as to who'll go on to win it all.

Anyone know what the odds are of getting every pick right in the NCAA tournament? It's gotta be about the same as winning the lotto.

2^63 = 9.22337204 × 10^18 to 1

Or, in other words

9223372036854775808 to 1

I was just curious, and checked out the leaderboard on the Yahoo tournament. Only one guy in the top ten has the final four correct -- got all four teams, and leads the pool with 105 points. Amazing. I had UConn going to the championship game, but I couldn't help rooting for GMU. Amazing game!

I am blown away that someone has the final four 100% correct.

I'm in good shape -- I haven't done the math yet, though.

If I win, I owe it all to George Mason -- they messed everybody up (including myself!) just enough. :)

This is why I love March Madness! Fun stuff!

BTW the only game I went to see Mississippi State play in basketball this year was when they defeated George Mason over the Christmas holiday. (That's the current NCAA baseball number 1 Miss State Bulldogs!)

What a great outcome!!

I am done of course, I have only 1 FF team, UCLA, but never had them going to the final game. So I have no more possible points.

Kinda fun, next year I hope my 'Heels meet the expectation, not like KY, I figured they had this year locked after last years freshman. Oh well. Congrats dude!

Well, back from vacation and boy did I miss a lot of good basketball. I saw a couple of games while away (including the end of Illinois' loss :(), but in general didn't catch too much other than the scores.

Looks like thedude110 is indeed the dude in regards to this particular tourney. Congrats - you'll have bragging rights for the next 12 months!

I am also out of it - 0 potential additional points. This is perhaps my worst showing ever!

Like many many others, my bracket is now completely worthless. Well, on to fantasy baseball, I guess.

Wow. I think this is the first time in 15 years that I didn't get a single Final Four team correct! On the other hand, I'm not sad that UConn lost at all. All that talent, and it seemed the only player they had that actually fought for anything was Marcus Williams. Everyone else looked like they expected to win just by stepping on the floor. This time, the referees and their opponents' mistakes couldn't quite bail them out. Once again, what was with all the Rudy Gay hype? I don't get it.

I'm more upset by Villanova losing. I really like their coach and the way they play, but the shots just weren't going down and the tennis player's son was just too much for them.

Here's hoping for a LSU/GMU final.

I thought Rudy had a pretty good game yesterday. He's definitely been over-hyped this year for what he's done. He's only a sophmore, so I hope he decides to come back for another year. But I doubt that will happen.

But in general, UCONN really hadn't been playing well lately - They went kind of cold right at the end of the regular season. They played much better in February...too bad they peaked at the wrong time. They played with great defense earlier in the season but it just hasn't been there lately.

You can only scrape by with lucky buzzer-beating shots for so long before it catches up with you...

The majority of the team is either graduating or leaving for the NBA, so next season will be a rebuilding year.

Time to change my avatar I guess... :(

GO UCONN (next year)!!!!!!!!!

The question was about the odds are of getting every pick right in the tournament. You can compute the exact answer for someone making perfectly random guesses, but anyone who uses knowledge of the teams, their records, and/or their seedings can do much better than a random guess.

I am in the same boat. It has been fun and GO UCLA!

My only team in the final four is Florida and I have them losing. Oh well.
