Cox Arena has been evacuated!

Police have located a "suspicious package" and have cleared the arena in San Diego. No updates, other than it's been emptied for awhile now. All games have been delayed for an indeterminate period of time.

Edit: Guess I was slow on the draw there. They are now letting people back in, but still no word on tip-off for the first game.

That's interesting ... I recall a report on the news last week stating that threats were made targeting the NCAA tournament. It is a high profile event and hopefully will proceed uneventfully.

OK the first to fall victim to an "upset" although not sure UWM over OK is too much of an upset. I, of course, didn't pick it. I wanted to, but just couldn't.

BC and Pacific in OT.

Welcome to March Madness indeed.

They are letting people back in so its gonna be awhile before those games start, Boston College is killing me here and Oklahoma grazed me in the shoulder.

This is why I never root for the ACC.

BC finally comes alive in the 2nd overtime to put Pacific away by 12.

Games in SD will start in about 20 minutes it would seem.

More like Pacific couldn't hit anything in the second overtime and their desperation led to easy BC baskets...same result though.

BC played poorly down the stretch in regulation, and eeked out a W. I have them over a Nevada team, 2nd round, but today's performance makes me wonder just what team will show up, next.

BC may have struggled because of all of the traveling they've had to do recently.

I'm just realizing that I really screwed up my MR bracket...I did it in two minutes and meant to go back and change things, but forgot to do so. As a result, I also have BC over Nevada in the second round. But I picked Nevada in a better bracket I'm doing on another site...looks like I win either way. :D

Another byproduct of my non-thinking bracket picks was that I picked Seton Hall to win today. What was I thinking? Just a few days ago, heading into Selection Sunday, I said earlier in this thread that I didn't think Seton Hall deserved a bid. And then I went ahead and picked them to win...duh. Fortunately I picked correctly in my other bracket.

I didn't pick the UWM upset in either bracket though...nice win for them.

Whew. Close one for BC there. That almost made a mess out of my bracket.

The delayed game in San Diego should start within the next hour, according to the announcers of the So. Alabama/Florida game.

Edit: they've finally tipped off, about 2 hours after the scheduled time. Thankfully, whatever was in the "suspicious package," it appears no one was hurt.

It's nice to see Winthrop give Tennessee a run for their money...no way the Vols deserved a 2-seed.

And being a Richmond alum, I live for the big upsets...the Spiders created the term "giant killer."

There's luck to my method, so I lucked out with the UWM pick over OK. I don't pick teams I don't like. :D Now, that could bite me back with a pick of a Bucknell over Arkansas, later, but at least we're lookin' good out of the blocks.

Unfortunately, I don't like either of them, so it was a tough choice. Why don't I like UWM? Because Bruce Pearl used to work there. As an Illini fan, I can't in good conscious like any team he's coached. Which, oddly enough, includes Tennessee, who I also don't like. :D

I just went with my gut on a matchup by match up basis - what made you go with them?

I know my "shockers" when I see them. ;)

Kevin Harlan is the worst broadcaster on earth. His voice and words would enrage me if he weren't so boring ...

Oh. And how much did Seton Hall NOT belong in this tournament? Cincinatti would have given WSU a much better game.

I'm happy to see Nevada and Marquette making their moves in the second half. Hopefully they'll complete their comebacks and keep my bracket somewhat respectable.

Winthrop and Tennessee down to the wire!!

I hate Seton Hall. They were suppose to upset! But the rest of the games I have all won.

Edit: Holy ****, Winthrop is down by 2 with 0.4 seconds left. They NEED to upset.

Clutch three from Lofton gives the Vols the win. I would have loved to see them go down, but my brackets thank them for winning

Edit: How about Nevada trying to claw their way back into things...Kemp with 29 and Fazekas with 22. Only two other players have scored for Nevada, and those guys total six points.

My bad...I knew it was a two, but Yahoo Sports had it listed as a three in their play-by-play and that's what I typed.

come on guys if you really had nevada winning more than two games then you're a fool. Needing them to win ... lets nto be dramatic
