That's the amazing Apple strategy, they bide their time, essentially the other companies w/ the people who experience them, waiting for the best (in this case it took Visio Pro 8 years- that's a nice example of the virtue of patience) while each small part was being tested in other blockbuster gadgets, aka the iPhone (Face ID, ARM then Silicon, AR, high res cameras) so it still makes money while it pieces things out (like the Infinity Stones), waiting for everybody to do their best, the pinnacle was Varjo and then at the right time, the make the best VR/AR in the Vision Pro- it's like the Gaunlet w/ all the Infnity Stones- this is how Apple disrupts and dominates. Elon Musk is different, give it all you've got now, improving as fast as possible that nobody can catch up and he also has the holistic approach and eco-system (the companies help out each other SpaceX, the satellites, SpaceX tech on Teslas and vice-versa, Tesla one Optimus path tracing A.I. and object idenfication, etc.). In short Apple wait until the best is made (Varjo AR/VR) and them it buids something better, making it best of the best at a lower price (Vision Pro is half the price of a Varjo).
