I'm sure you've seen vniow use that in multiple threads, it's not intended to be mean, it's a more of a "mind your own business" kinda thing - anyways - to please you and skoker I've removed/editied my posts, because I don't want to "degrade" the Marketplace in any way.

i was kidding. and while i'm sure you weren't intending to be mean, by editing all your posts you are quite OBVIOUSLY being a jackass and "appeasing" us. no need to do that, there's no rule against it. don't get all bunched up about it, i'm just trying to provoke a discussion.

what i do take issue with is you and skoker taking little shots at each other all over the place and going all about it. i understand, you know each other in real life, you're friends, whatnot. that crap doesn't belong on forums. you do it all over the place, i hold my tongue, but it's really beginning to tighten my jaw. THAT is what i take issue with, thank you.

Fixed, and either way I'm actually kind of agreeing with you - besides like I stated in the original post there, they didn't sell on MR, so why would linking to an auction make them sell to the same people who didn't want it ~1 month ago.

Anyways, I really have to do this bio hw so stop replying!

I was hoping there would be a way to somehow be exempt from the 100 minimum post count. I don't post that often, I just enjoy reading the forums. I didn't even sign up to the forums until a month ago, after reading threads for months.

Anyways, I have bought a couple things now from the Marketplace without any problems. I understand why the minimum post count is in effect, but I feel that if you have bought things without any trouble, you should be able to sell things also. Maybe if the mods were incorporated, they could have the power to choose to enable this right for those who can provide some buying history in the marketplace or ebay feedback history. Just a thought.

Honestly, If you really want to sell something here that badly it's not difficult to get 100 posts. It takes less than two weeks with some decent effort.

It's probably a good idea not to suggest such a thing. Someone might interpret it in the wrong way.

I'm pretty sure that when the 100 post rule was brought in there was discussion about this (there was definietly some discussion about this sort of thing with regards to the religion forum which has similar rules) and it was decided that inflation of post counts to allow use of certain forums was possible by moderators - you'd need to ask them. I know some people were bothered about people getting 'tars early but I think they were missing the point. Find a mod and ask them, better yet, find 100 mods and when you're done asking you'll be ready to post anyway!

They can ask, but I can assure you now, no one will be made exempt from the 100 post minimum rule.
