Beau, are we able to change the design of the case for the replacement? I think I have changed my mind and would like a different one..

Due to the increasing number of replacements going out, I cannot make that accommodation. Sorry!

No problems, I didn't think it would be feasible but if you don't ask, you don't get. Also, do you have a time frame of when the replacement case will be manufactured and start to be sent out? No rush, just curious.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to comments and to remedy this situation so quickly. I have been amazed by the level of customer service offered by Maroo since I made my purchase. Will definitely be recommending people buy Maroo cases from now on. Keep up the good work :D

How's the sound output in a Maroo case? I'm curious, since there isn't a cutout, how it sounds.

Are all new shipments the revised edition? For example, if I ordered today, would it be the revised case?

Kudos to you guys for doing the right thing and replacing the cases. I just got my email telling me how to do it . For the life of me I'll never understand why people are so whacked out you get this on off switch thing fixed , it's not a big deal , just set your machine so that it turns off in two minutes

send it whenever it's for convenient for you guys, fine with me .....thanks

@Maroobeau

I was waiting for the magnet issue to be resolved before ordering.

So we're okay to put our orders in now, right?

Ordered!

So how's the drop protection on these cases?

I like the design, and the corner protection looks great, but those exposed edges at the top, bottom, and side make me a little nervous.

No case is going to be 100% in every area, one of the reasons I've gone for this is the drop protection. The thinner cases form what I can see can't really offer that, the Maroo isn't the thinnest but that's the point, it's cushioning + corner protection + quality = pretty darn good if you ask me.

You can look at the Incipio Lexington, yeah, it's covered, sleeker, offers protection against scratches but drop it and how much protection is there really? Same with the Dodo case, great cases but a little cushioning always helps.

I can live with the exposed edges, you can fasten it up with the straps when you need to and there's so much coverage that I can't see it being an issue.

...plus the auto-sleep\wake magnet functionality will work, not sure how many other case manufacturers can guarantee that right now.

Drop protection is the number 1 reason I have a Maroo. (I dropped and shattered my first ipad-- I thought i had it well protected.) See the videos on their website. The fact that they look nice (I have Kumara II), have hand strap, slot for business cards, function well w sleep/wake (on iPad 2 and now/soon on new iPad), etc are pluses

Thanks guys. It does look like it works pretty well.

I can imagine it landing on the edge of a table, curb, or stairs and if it lands just right (say the edge/corner of the table hits one of the open sides at a 90 degree angle) the iPad could still break but I guess that's where AppleCare+ comes in.

I have a question to the owners, does anybody have a full body skin would it fit with this case? I'm leaning towards yes but still not sure.

People who are concerned about drop protection need to get an Otterbox.

EDIT: People have different priorities for the attributes of a case. If your primary need is drop protection, you don't start with leather folios.

With the corner straps fastened, I am confident that these Maroo cases will do a very nice job of protecting my iPad.

The reinforced corners protect those pressure points and the iPad is set in about 1/3 inch to keep the sides from coming in contact with anything.

Of course, like any protection, the screen is still vulnerable. These do have a bit of padding on the front and back to help lessen the impact.

We have a way to test our current stock. Any new order going out will work.

We're shipping them out daily, as fast as we can. You will get a tracking number when your item is shipped.

After we enter our info on the form should we have gotten
a confirmation email about the replacement order?
Thanks.

It's not my primary concern, but I do want some protection from normal accidents. It's kinda scary carrying around a $900 piece of glass. It's something I'm getting used too.

I know my iPad won't get banged around like my phone does but it's still scary. The maroo looks like a decent mix of protection, stand positions, and professional looks. I also like how the front cover can be strapped down, I hate the flappy covers that some cover have.
