Glad for this thread because I scoffed at watching it. Now I'm game. Or, because of Affleck, my reaction was extreme prejudice. ;)

Just finished the episode where we get to meet "Stick". Very interesting.

Kingpen and his side kick are still my two favorites in the show right now!

I liked Wesley a lot (his sidekick)--->I was a bit dissapointed that they killed him off the show so quickly. <---

everyone keeps knocking the original movie.... if you take the story out, the villian, the damsel, and focused on just how they portrayed the character and his senses, well, it wasn't THAT bad.

lol

i killed the series in about 3 days.... was fantastic... i really like how they worked his costume into the mix, as well as kiddingly joked around about the original sucking, kinda reminds me of the comics...

i would like to see more acrobatics and batman like building hoping... the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been pretty true to form, so hopefully season two will see a lot more of his bo staff and grappling hook.

D'onofrio was amazing.... truly stole the show

Watched the 2003 film last night (for the first time). What an absolute joke! I knew it was bad but after really getting into the Netflix series I had to see it for myself. I guess that's the difference with a 90 minute film and a 650 minute series, everything felt rushed in the film especially the romance and origin story. Didn't like Foggy being such a ****.

Does anyone know how to watch it in 4k? I watch Netflix on a PS3 so that's not possible to display 4k, and for some reason I can't find out what resolution it's running at on my browser.

I have a 4K TV with Netflix. Netflix charges you more to use the 4K

You and me both!

Finished the show last night and I was impressed. I can already see who and what is going to be the focus of Season 2 if they do it. Which I hope they do.

[Spoilers]

I was sad to see the journalist go, but man Kingpin is a really scary dude, that scene was intense!

[/spoilers]

I was pleased with the show, more so than I thought I would be. Here is hoping they do a season two!

I was unfamiliar with this term so I looked it up. For anyone else unfamiliar it describes the number of pixels, twice as many as a 1080p TV. My tv is outdated! ;)

Not that expensive: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-55...lver/2003054.p?id=1219522192272&skuId=2003054

unless you go for the big one 85"- $25k.

I'm glad this thread was made. I'm 2 episodes in and I'm already hooked. Actually, I was hooked after the first episode so I'm pretty excited.

Only thing that I kinda dislike is that all the shots are dark, but maybe thats just trying to convey the mood of the whole series..like a comic book.

fight scene at end of ep 2 was kick ass. like how there were none of those quick cuts and shaky cam

Agree. And how it switched from seeing the fighting in the hallway, but not seeing the fighting in the rooms.

I thought I saw a little daylight. ;) I do like that the dark backgrounds look like a real city and not some stylized cartoon, like Sin City, or The Crow.

We finished up the season over the weekend. I think they did a great job with the characters and the story. Additionally, despite my previously mentioned worry, I'm pleased with the costume as well. It will be interesting where they go in season 2. D'nofrio has done a great job with the role of the Kinpin, but he is simply one villian in the Daredevil story not to mention that in the comic universe Kingpin also does battle with other heroes like Spider-Man, the Punisher, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, etc. I'm wondering what other "bad guys" the series will feature. The most obvious choice is Bullseye and I'm sure at some point we will see Elektra seeing as how they have already referenced her in the show.

I like his plain black hood, although it could be harder to identify him as a hero. I just finished the "Stick" episode, excellent, no costume yet. :)

My critique is that the decapitation by door scene was excessive and not necessary. The audience gets the picture without shoving our faces in it. It's a good example that stories portraying extreme violence graphically may be more realistic, but make the story less watchable. My opinion is that it's better left to our imaginations.

Not really a spoiler, but the costume doesn't show up until the season finale. I too liked the simplicity of the black hood.

I think your critique is valid. They could have done that without being so graphic. That being said, I can only guess that they were wanting to show the extreme to which the Kingpin's rage can go. In the comics he is not a nice guy at all.

Fair enough, I'm only 2 episodes in. And actually now that you mention it i remember a little in episode 1. Wasn't a real complaint honestly I guess, just an observation.

Vanessa, the creep's girl friend, reminds me of the girl who played a Klingon on Star Trek Next Generation. That did not pan out, but she looks like her... Susie Plakson, K'Ehleyr.

So I was finishing up the first season of The 100 on Netflix (great show!) and was wondering what TV show to watch next. Netflix was displaying Daredevil heavily in the app, so I said 'what the hell, let's give it an episode or two". I was absolutely not expecting much -- even though I have seen the rave reviews online. I just wouldn't believe a Marvel TV show could be that good.

The first episode wasn't that impressive. But it was good enough that I gave it another episode.

And the boolean statement mind = blown suddenly switched from false to true. Holy ****. This TV show is AWESOME.

Daredevil has officially out-Batman'd Batman in my eyes.
