Well DD got his butt kicked. In the scale of super heroes, he's on the low end of capabilities although he has got really good senses. :D

That's what makes it awesome (that's why Batman is my favorite superhero, incidentally). The super-powered superheroes are boring to me.

I love the original Thor, but wonder about the term Gods which has to be taken lightly. ;) My favorite is the Tobey McQuire Spider-Man series. He has power and webs, but my impression is that he's very mortal, and I love how he has typical growing up issues.

FYI, two of the seminal Frank Miller Daredevil comic runs are currently ~75% off, either direct from Marvel or through Amazon.

I get where you are coming from. For me, it's all relative. Generally, those heroes that do possess super powers are going up against villians that possess super powers as well. In this way things sort of balance out. What gets tough and ultimately requires more suspension of disbelief is when we see heroes with super powers face off against heroes like Batman or Daredevil who don't possess super powers. Miller's Dark Knight where Batman and Superman face off is a good example of this.

But hey, that's what the world of superheroes is all about and it has and always will dominate the "what if" debates between fanboys and fangirls everywhere. "C'mon dude, there's no way Iron Man could beat Hulk! blah, blah, blah...)

What I enjoy about Daredevil is that he's your classic tortured and conflicted hero. He is willing to struggle against his own "demons" and works hard to overcome his own shortcomings in order to stand up for truth and justice. Despite his enhanced senses, his humanity and its inherent limits do make him relatable and keep his stories somewhat realistic.

Just finished the series. A tremendous two thumbs up overall.

But is it just me or did the show fall off a steep cliff with episode 13? That last episode... sucks. I can't put a finger on it, but it felt kind of cheap somehow.

You're not alone in your assessment, and it has nothing to do with the costume. The issue I saw was it felt like it had to wrap up too many things all at once.

Finished Season 1, thumbs up. My only critique is that I don't think average people could take the hits to the face and head as portrayed and keep going. Maybe these aren't average people. I realize that last fight DD had armor on this forearms and what I think was a helmet. :)

I am still working on the series, but so far, loving it. Super excited for the other four shows.

Wow, marvel really is going all out aren't they. if they are the same quality as daredevil, I definitely will watch all of them.

Absolutely! I enjoy their films but no superhero show or film had grabbed me as much as this Daredevil series did. I think the lower budget really worked out for them. If the other shows are as good we're in for such a treat!

You and me both! I don't know if it is because they were able to spend a 12+ hours telling a story, but the DareDevil series, up to this point is my favorite Marvel movie/tv show.

Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk has to be one of the best things about this show.

Scrap that, this Wilson Fisk is easily one of the best villains Marvel has put out in recent years, including those is the MCU.

I was wondering how much fighting does Charlie Cox do and according to this article, a lot, but he has a stunt double who he switches off with for the hard stuff.

Spoiler , this appears to be a one-take fight, but comments in the article sounds like they could seamlessly make cuts without it being noticed. I'm impressed. :)
