I was wondering how much fighting does Charlie Cox do and according to this article, a lot, but he has a stunt double who he switches off with for the hard stuff.

Spoiler , this appears to be a one-take fight, but comments in the article sounds like they could seamlessly make cuts without it being noticed. I'm impressed. :)

Hallway Fight Scene

Kevin Smith's podcast "Fatman on Batman" episode #80 has Joe Quesada on it and they talk about this scene a lot. According to both Kevin and Joe, there are a couple takes on the scene, but none the less, this scene absolutely kicks butt!

Daredevil Season 1 was so much better than Season 2. Especially the backstories.

There's a really good roof-to-basement type of long fighting scene in season 2 that's similar in a sense, and that much better too (at least in my opinion).

I will eventually check that out. The fact that Ben Affleck comes to my mind everytime I hear that name is bad.
Well, now he's Batman (and supposedly a fairly good one too).

I feel the same way although my logical side blames the writer(s) and director st as much if not more. :)

I might have to watch Season One again.

Oh, oh, Season Two has been up for viewing on Netflix since March 2016! I'll weigh in later when I'm into it.

Not much to discuss 5 months afterwards, but will probably re-watch it for the third time sooner than later. Gotta prepare for the Luke Cage series coming up on Netflix!

I think a Punisher series is more or less a given after the huge success he was in DD S2. Iron Fist is confirmed as well as is DD S3 (and I believe a Jessica Jones follow up, but I don't care about that one).

Keep 'em coming!

DD is the only reason I keep my Netflix account btw. Would have cancelled a long time ago otherwise.

My wife and I just watched the first episode last night. It was pretty good. We'll watch a few more episodes for sure.

Season two was good. I enjoyed what they did with Punisher. I liked Elektra, but I'm not too keen on what they did with her character absent the presence of Bullseye. I won't say more because I don't want to be a spoiler for others.

I did appreciate how Netflix essentially created superior versions of Daredevil and Punisher relative to their film version.

Luke Cage, 2016 or 2017?

Besides other content there are many original series we watch- House Of Cards, Sense8, Daredevil, Bloodlines, Jessica Jones, maybe this Luke Cage person. :):)

Yes, that was really nice. However, it does make sense that more character development can occur in 10+ hours than in 2+.

The DD movie was an all around dissapointment.

Did anyone here like the Punisher Movie (2004)? I like it lots. :)

The 2004 Punisher movie made Frank Castle a sympathetic victim exacting vengeance. DD Netflix has him more of an over the top vigilante jury, judge, executioner, wholesale murdering criminals. However, I like the character and the interaction between him and Dare Devil debating morality.

I agree rhett, although I couldn't finish that one either: all Punisher movies are (really) bad imo. Jane's too tame and the villains looked goofy - while the other one, IIRC, gave Jigsaw a ridiculously looking make up. I remember it having a sort of (R-rated) Batman&Robin vibe to it - but it's easily been quite a few years since and I just watched like 50mins, so I might give it a shot again (from a sawed off that is :p) since I hear from multiple credible sources, you included, that it's actually not as bad as people make it out to be.

NEWSFLASH: Just learned that Dominic West played Jigsaw!? Holy ****, just started re-binging The Wire and that guy's a keeper. Hope they have it on Netflix..

That is exactly the kind of Punisher I grew up with. So... <3 spot on, Netflix! (The moral exchanges aren't too badly written so I give 'em a pass for that.. :D)

And Huntn:
You saw JJ, didn't you? I recall some arguments over the quality being exchanged between us two.. ;) so...

Luke Cage aka Power Man should be no unknown to you!

Yes, familiar! I'll watch it! :) Same actor, I wonder as in JJ?

That is exactly how he is played out in the comics. Now granted, it is a marvel book, and there really isn't a lot of "blood", but he is violent.

I really liked the Netflix Punisher. A lot.

I liked her at the beginning but after 4-5 epidodes the writing made her decisions and reasoning seem dumb and she got rather annoying. I have nothing against Ritter and Luke was one of the better parts of JJ - although it does seem incredible forced that his girlfriend, no less, was a victim of JJ. Not sure how that is written in the comic books but it comes across 100% fabricated.

And since JJ is quite the drinker (isn't she? I recall a bottle of Whisky in her office) there could be more lenient ways to have meet Luke who runs a neat bar himself...but hey, that's just me thinking 5sec about this.. ;)

I cannot wait for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope just once, he puts on the headband. Just once! LOL. Even if to say, "Nope, not gonna happen"! haha!

Jigsaw was the worst part, he actually felt more like something I would have seen out of "Dick Tracy" how over the top the make-up was!

Lol, I wouldn't even rule that out tbh.

Dick Tracy is the right analogy! - better than my Batman&Robin (Two-Face was that, right?). But anyway, although I do know that good or even very good actors appear in less than mediocre films I will check out for Warzone. Too tempting now knowing West plays in it (and honestly: Lundgren and Jane never had the right "look" in the first place imo). Nobody can touch Bernthal but Stevenson isn't that far off.

And while the stairs fight in DD was great, overall, I rate the prison scene the best by a mile. Quick n (extremely) dirty. Ouch!

The scene between the Punisher and King Pen.... oh man that was seriously a killer scene. Fast, dirty, and violent in it's execution!

The first scene in Punisher War Zone sets the tone for the entire movie with the exception of Jigsaw, but even his character is pretty violent!
