In this context, it's more of Apple doesn't need to be concerned about 8 year old market than parental advice.
Exactly what I was trying to say.

Where is your evidence that people want larger iPhones? The majority of the news I read shows that people that want larger iPhones are in the minority.
Very smart on Apples part to prevent massive returns over size preference. I bet over half the people here would take advantage of Apples return policy. Only way to fight that is to implement a restocking fee. I wonder how many people swapped there iPad Airs for a retina mini within the return window. This only hurts Apple in the long run.
I personally think that Apple should release a larger iPhone in March and the smaller one in September (6 months apart). Samsung does something similar with the Galaxy and Note series; just spread out the releases. Ive seen not one complaint the way Samsung does it.
I will be in denial all the way to keynote.

and neither are rumors or mockups.
If that is the design, I am sold! Love the matte black and the rounded edges![]()
The only evidence I have seen was in the samsung trial and that was years ago, so show me RECENT evidence.
The documents posted by Re/code include an Apple slide deck from April, 2013 for 2014 planning. The document includes graphs showing that Apple's growth rates are slowing quarter after quarter. The main reason for the decline amongst consumers? Consumers want less expensive and larger screen smartphones:
Maybe you should start using your penis to control your phone then.
Maybe because no-one is interested in this feature. I have never needed that function and this is the first time I have heard of anyone else needing it.
Some random poster on a rumors forum doesn't need to give a fellow poster parenting advice....let him do what he wants. Its his kid, not yours.
Can't you download a camera app that has a timer?
Constantly pinching and zooming completely interrupts the flow of reading documents.
Then leave the child out of the conversation. Im in church a few weeks ago and a mother allowed her 5 year old to use her iPhone for the entire service playing some stupid game. These iPhones are being used as high tech pacifiers for our children. Child is going to grow up knowing that its ok to play with phones during service; very disrespectful.
You kidding?
Who "pinch & zooms" to read documents. Just double-tap.
A year ago is not old. Despite that, it is rather amusing that your rebuttal to the assertion that many want a larger screen is that the research is "pretty old." If it is old then logic would have it that people want even larger screens now, since that has been the trend as of late.if the research you are referring to is coming from the samsung trial, that is pretty old...not current.
Erm... That's some contradiction surely?...
I'm quite skeptical that we're going to see a 5.5" phone from Apple.
Apple is not going to go with reduced "functionality" of the iPhone by doing away with the flat edges, just because it "looks cooler".
I think its funny that people are getting all bent out of shape about "keeping the current size".
The iPhone 5S will likely still be around - and there's no app out there that taps into the power of that phone. It'll likely be more powerful than necessary for another year or more.
Think we see a lineup of 5C, 5S, 6, 6L.
5C = Free on contract / $350 off
5S = $99 on contract / $450 off
6 = $199 on contract / $550 off
6L = $299 on contract / $650 off
Why do you think a bigger phone would be more expensive? It doesn't actually cost more to build. It's more likely cheaper because there is much more space.
