Istocknow emailed just after a SBSS 44 at the store 15 mi away popped up on the apple store app. I reserved one but hope the store 2 mi away gets some this afternoon. They went quickly.

Yes, today I was seeing availability of most 44mm SS models and variations from NYC up to Boston. Against my better judgment, I bought a SS with the sport band and was able to return my 15 day old aluminum Watch. Thank you Apple!

Ooooooooh man. Wow...no AppleCare+? If it makes you feel better, I still wear a "good," real mechanical watch on my left wrist every day, with my Watch on the other wrist...over the years I've dropped various Rolexes, and have had $1Kish repair bills for internal damage and parts replacement. Maybe not bad as a percentage of cost, but still quite painful.

They'll hold it several days... You can then see if a closer one shows up prior to the weekend, and if not make a day trip out of the experience.
