Left the house at 6:50p and home by 8:10p. Synced and all set up!

The best part for me was I left the Apple Store without my Watch S3 (traded in), felt really naked on my wrist, sat down on a bench, ripped open the S4, and had it synced and connected in about 5-10 mins. It was fully synced before I made it back to the car, and the battery level was only 93% at that point!

It's amazing how naked I feel without a watch on these days, after not having worn one for years before getting my S0.

I doesn’t seem to be refreshing and it gets stuck...particularly the “Watch” pages. Tried it on multiple devices.

Thank you for chiming in.

edit: nailed it, should be back to normal in a couple of mins, thx for feedback.
Seems to have been fixed now. :)

Thank you so much!

A little off topic, but for those that were following and offering suggestions regarding my Apple GiveBack scenario... I went back to the Apple Store again today, this time with the watch unpaired from my phone. They again said they could only recycle my Series 2 Alum model with no payout. I mentioned the website says it's good for a $115 gift card, so they pulled up the website and confirmed. Still wouldn't budge on the in store payout because their system won't let them submit it. Their suggestion was to use the website and wait for the gift card. Bummer, but at least I have an option still.

That is so odd...

The store is probably flooded with used aluminum watches

Or just used watches? They've dropped the max trade in value from $250 (a week ago) to $225 now. Must've had more trade-ins than expected.

Thanks for the update. I got a bit of a run-around myself in the store (two stores actually) but I was insistent the website said my watch was eligible (printed screenshot showing $ value in hand). I was clear I expected the trade-in as advertised.

I also had my unopened S4 I'd bought earlier that day. Enough of a signal I was ready to ask for a refund and walk away (I was)? Maybe the salesperson got it and used their discretion to force the trade-in through. I don't know? Apple isn't as simple to do business with as they used to be.

(BTW, the problem with the mail-in box is that the watch leaves your possession, they lowball you a week later, and you feel pissed and obliged to take the lowball because you've already invested time and energy in the process)

I wouldn't wait if you want to do that, because the price offered for the watch I did trade in using the Give Back program dropped $25 in a week. I find it odd that Apple won't accept the device at a store, unless they don't have the employee bandwidth to handle trade ins or only certain stores can handle them. For some reason, even though I did an in-store pick up when a stainless steel S4 showed up locally, I couldn't do the trade in at the same time online when I ordered the watch. So when I went to pick up the S4, I asked whether they could handle the trade-in as part of the transaction. They had to get a product specialist for the trade-in, and then they had to override their system to give me a refund on my card (rather than a gift card), because they had already charged my card for the S4. They were very pleasant about it and handled it without question, but I still found it odd given how Apple emphasizes the ability to apply the trade-in value towards the purchase of a new phone or watch.

No they haven’t dropped the trade price. I traded my 42mm SS S3 two days ago for $250, and my wife’s 38mm SS S3 today for $225.

Their system apparently has some glitches. I was able to set up a trade in while ordering for in-store pickup. First try didn't take, but the second try did. That was for my Nike S4 on launch day (Oct 5). It's for a mail-away trade though, and a box ships from Phobios.

Fast forward to Wednesday this week, I'd decided to switch to SBSS and one popped up for local pickup. I didn't try the trade online and just took my S3 to the store.

They brought out the SBSS watch and we completed the purchase transaction -- then when he entered the trade it came up as wanting to give a gift card. The guy said the system needs a few minutes for the purchase transaction to sync up in the back end -- we tried again, and it then found the purchase and would allow refunding to credit card instead of gift card.

So, yes, they have dropped the trade price. Not sure just which day they did so, but my trade in Wednesday was $25 lower than a prior trade offer.

I just ordered a 44 SS through ATT Premier with a 10/15 shipping date. They also have the 44 SS gold shipping 10/19. 2 of my Apple stores have some various 44 stainless models as well. Glad to finally see some available.

Thanks all for the replies. When I picked up my S4 SS on Monday night and asked about the GiveBack program, the gal said I could trade it in for a gift card, or put the money back on my card that I just purchased the new watch with. Then she scanned the serial number and her little device told her it wasn't eligible. I was in a hurry to get home—especially with the traffic mess that I wrote about a few pages back—so I just took off.

Yesterday when I was at the store again, the product specialist is the one that entered the serial number. He again said it wasn't eligible, so he asked a second employee. She asked if the watch was purchased under a corporate account (it wasn't) because that can prevent it from being eligible. I mentioned it was purchased from that very store 23 months ago, and they both seemed very confused as to why it wouldn't be eligible. So they asked a third employee. He wasn't sure either why their in-store system wouldn't allow a return, but his suggestion was that if it was eligible online, that I should submit it that way.

Now the question is...is it worth it to send it in? I've heard horror stories about Brightstar. If they lowball the offer, do I have to option to just have the watch sent back to me? And if I send it in to Brightstar, do they require the band and charger, etc?

I can't speak for your experience, but I know when I entered in the serial number last week, it was $250, but the max trade-in value on the Apple website was $225 on the day I actually traded my old watch in a week later, and that's what Apple gave me. But they treated it just like a refund, which was nice, so no gift card.

Yep, that looks correct. Boo. At the very least Apple could keep the $250 for people waiting to trade in but unable to do so due to stock..

How did this devolve into a thread about trade in value?

I’m still impatiently waiting for movement on my GSS 44. 19 - 26 delivery window. I see some orders being fulfilled early, are they all aluminum models?

My 44mm SS Series 4 finally shipped today. Preordered 9/14

Are you based in US?
[doublepost=1539415130][/doublepost]Europe seems to be getting some stock this morning.. lots in Germany.

Nothing in the UK yet tho, I’m hoping they just haven’t checked new stock in yet.

FWIW, they are appearing with some regularity locally at the Apple stores; not many, and only one or two stores, but you wouldn't have to wait more than a day or two to get what you want.
