I’ve had the 6s Plus, 8 Plus and XS Max... I got all those phones before I had an iPad so I’m thinking I’ll go with a smaller phone this round, either the 12 or 12 Pro.

For whatever reason lately, my XS Max is just feeling more and more cumbersome.

My 12 Pro arrives NOV 10th but I think I have still time to regret if the reviews of the Pro Max show it as a phone with a much better camera and worth to try a bigger size this year. But for now I am still into the Pro boat.

When do you think the review of the Pro Max are going to be available ?

i'm currently using 11 Pro Max, i definitely fell the size and weight during everyday activities. one thing that held me back from switch to a smaller screen phone is i'm afraid my eyesight will take a hit. i use phone a lot during night time while laying in bed in dark surrounding. my eyesight gotten worsen that one year i was using X, not sure if it was due to the phone but after changed to Pro max, i felt much better. with that said, i'm still debating whether to get the 12 pro or wait for the pro max. to me at least, a regular sized screen Pro is about as perfect an iphone can get. bigger screen iphones always give me a cheaper feeling (don't know why, just my personal opinion).

i also have an ipad mini 5 laying around the house eating dust, if i go with the regular size Pro this time, maybe i can start using the ipad mini more especially during night time, in place of the phone.

P.S. anyone know the battery difference between the Pro and Pro Max? one thing i do like about my 11 pro max is the battery usage.

Hello,

My question is simple: Are Apple's "Max" models too big to be viable for everyday use?

Indeed, considering my needs and these incredible specificities, I seriously ask myself the question to acquire the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have already taken the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Compared to my iPhone X, the difference does not seem monumental (less than between a 5S and 6S+). Nevertheless, it's impossible to know if size is a daily problem. Do you have any feedback to give me about your experience?

Do the advantages in photos, videos, and especially in visual comfort make you forget the size of the phone?

I'm not used to writing a message with one hand, even with the X, and I have difficulty getting it to fit in my pocket. At this level, it won't change me. But it's clear that with a Pro Max, when you take your phone out, it's much less discreet.

What do you think about it?
Been perfectly fine with both Xs Max and 11 Pro Max personally, love the large screens.
Do take note that the 12 Pro Max is even larger than the 11 Pro Max, so if the 11PM was too big for you the 12PM will be even larger.

I've using the iPhone on the larger size since they became available. It is big phone, no question about it but, I prefer the larger screen. I'm so used to carry a Max iPhone, I don't think that i'd go with smaller iPhone anytime soon.

You know I actually bought a 12 pro max case from spigen on Amazon to get a sense of the side and I have an xs max. It’s interesting how big the phone feels even though it’s just a few mm.

I haven’t gotten apple care but I think I’ll get one for this since I cracked my xs screen. But I’ll probably get slim case. With a super slim case the 12 pro max should be slimmer than my xs max with a moderate thick case.

i canceled my 12 pro preorder and will wait for the 12PM preorder after thinking it through. i'm currently using 11 Pro max, and i'm a heavy phone user, feel that bigger real estate of the screen will ease my eyesight a bit. from the picture above i think i made the right choice, 12 Pro looks visibly smaller than the max.

It comes down to what you like. Apple now offers 5 different phone size across line up.

I’m getting max due to not having an iPad and liking big screens

Same here. Coming from an X, I really wanted more screen so moving from the X to the 12P wasn't a huge upgrade in screen size. My thought is if I decide in the 14 days of trying out the 12PM I don't like it I can always fall back to the 12P.

I havw also been trying to decide. I thought my ip11 pro felt small but the 12pro max feels huge. Here is how I am trying to make my decision I ordered cases for both and comparing to my 11pro. the Max feel really big but I may give it a go for a year. I use my phone for everything so I may be able to deal with the bigger size to have more real estate.

Here are some comparison pics of my XS Max (gold unit) and a 12 Pro Max dummy (white unit). The 12 Pro Max dummy unit isn’t too big compared to my XS Max. It also was comfortable to hold in my hands.

Yes we know that but how about when it has a case?

Holding my Smartish Kung Fu case for the 12PM, it doesn't feel that much larger than the same case for the 12P. I actually really like the squared off edges which feels more secure in hand.
