I did a similar thing except I found the iPad Pro so powerful I no longer need a MBP. I still want a mini with todays MBP specs.I'm on a 3 year upgrade where Year 1 is iPad Pro, year 2 is new iMac, Year 3 is new MacBook Pro.

Does anybody know if it supports HDMI 2.1? I think the specs say that the HDMI port only allows for up to 4k60, but wonder if the thunderbolt 4 port supports hdmi 2.1 through an adapter.
Does this have HDMI 2.1?
Yeah, fair enough. These really do seem aimed at people who use them to make money. Hopefully they give us consumers things like MagSafe, ports, 1080p webcam, etc on the M2 MacBook Air. I definitely don’t need 64 GB RAM or 32 GPU cores, but some of the other stuff is just as important for “home users” as for pros.If you are not a pro, this "seems" expensive. If you are, and make your money on billable time doing pro work, its not bad at all.
Yeah I saw that, hoping for the best.Since on the website page it says "Support for one display with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz", I'd assume it's HDMI 2.0.
Nope. 7% more expensive than the equivalent 16" 9 core MBP I got in 2019. Considering that their costs are lower with this machine, this makes it even more outrageous.Nevermind. Actually better pricing than before I think?
People can buy whatever they want to. I’m retired, but I just bought one. You’re telling me that I shouldn’t have?I’ve always been a MBP user. However, with these new MBPs, I have to say these are definitely for professionals, not your average joe who just wants a MBP. If you’re not a legit professional or creative, i feel like you shouldn’t be buying these noteboois, in my opinion.
Alas, i just know some 18 year old and his or her local community college, is going to have a maxed out 2021 MBP…
The notch complaining is getting old, come up with new stuffThat's an expensive notch
I’m stating a personal opinion, and you have the option to ignore it.People can buy whatever they want to. I’m retired, but I just bought one. You’re telling me that I shouldn’t have?

Cute, but it's BTO. How would you make that work?Ha in the U.K. it costs the exact same price to just upgrade to 64 and 2TB. It’s cheaper to fly to the states stay in a nice hotel, buy it there, get the maxed out version and still have money left over.
