Holding strong at about 80-90 right now. It's cooooold out here.
Just so you feel better, it's 32º F in Chicago right now.

So are you flexible on which version of the watch you get? I wonder what stock and variety they'll have. I'm crossing my fingers for you!

Thanks! 42 Stainless, that's all I care about at the moment.

Although after this long of a wait, I'll start being alright with a 42 Space Grey sport.

And maybe I'll give the 38 a shot, if it came down to it...maybe. Regardless, I have a 42mm SS Classic Buckle 4/24-5/8 order that hasn't left processing as well, so I'll probably end up with my ideal watch if this doesn't pan out.

Honestly, the 6-second video of the pallet coming off the truck that I saw did not look huge, although it wasn't clear whether it was the only pallet on the truck. It was a fairly large Budget rental truck followed by security. With the other counties' stores getting 200-500 models, we're feeling like 70-90 of us(at least) will definitely walk out with one.

We're all grumbling here about the potential of Tim or other execs showing up for this considering it's the only retail launch in the United States. Could be a thing.

Around 70th in line.
Getting colder, but the overall vibe isn't bad!
People are starting to get a bit quieter, though.

Hoping to purchase a SS w/ the White Sport Band

Wow! That would be special.

I'm waiting on a 42mm space gray — when I preordered, I had to remove an old phone as a 2nd number on my credit card — it was 12:05am by the time I fixed it so my watch isn't due til late May. Oh, well.

Have fun!

Don't Expect to get Space Gray Anything!

The only models available in retail stores.

That sounds like such a sad statement. It's the only store in the entire U.S. that will be selling Watches on launch day.

Wish I could go down there and see how long the line is, but the hour journey down the 10 isn't worth it at this hour. :p Hopefully it doesn't drizzle down there, NWS has it pegged at a 20% chance. And it's only 59 degrees. I'd be bundled up lol.

Sent from my cosy bed, awaiting the delivery later today of my 42mm SG Sport.

The girl I spoke with on the phone yesterday afternoon said one, but she didn't sound super confident in her response.

If its not one, then a lot of people will be (f)ed! Trust me, some people in that line are aware of the shortages, and would buy all of the watches to sell for a profit. I hope the store does the right thing and limit it to ONE per customer.

I think everyone in line should get one. Reading that the other boutiques will have 350-500 units, I imagine this store should have at least a couple hundred also.

Different strokes different folks.

My GF would probably not appreciate it with our son but she's into movies celebrities not really tech. However she has no issues with my plans to camp with him for Star Wars VII this coming Christmas.

A previous relationship we all camped out in the car for the play station III. I think my oldest was about 8 and she left to take him to school.

Just keep him safe / warm / fed etc.

I was about to head up. Sounds like a ton of people just showed up. So I'm thinking no. Any updates?

How far is your drive? I'd say looking over 150 but hard to tell at this point. If this place gets over 200, you're still likely to have a chance, although choices may be slim.

I'd get here before they start coming around with tickets; if they do this it'll be around 8.

75 miles Im in orange county.

Just woke up my 8-year-old at 4:30am to drive up from OC with me to check out the spectacle.

Coolest dad ever or parenting fail?

Depends. If you 8 year old is extremely excited about this Apple Watch launch then it's cool. If you wanted to go and try to buy one and had to wake up your 8 year before the sun came up because you were the one watching him, then fail.
